Drug use defies all stereotypes in reality. These drugs are frequently abused at high rates in all racial, ethnic, social, regional, and gender distinctions.

According to estimates, 1.7 million Filipinos used hazardous drugs in the Philippines in 2019. In contrast, there were only 5,277 admissions to inpatient and outpatient institutions in the same year, excluding patients who received care through community-based initiatives.

With Hi-Five: Anti-Drug Awareness, the PLM College of Nursing aims to influence the public on the dangers of drug abuse with five (5) facts and considerations. Not only that, but we also work to eliminate the stigma against victims of drug abuse for a better environment to recovery and rehabilitation.

Raise your hands and let us work together to spread knowledge and awareness.
