Yesterday's webinar was a blast! So many questions about Rizal's retraction were finally answered! The webinar entitled “𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣 𝙤 𝘽𝙖𝙬𝙞 𝙗𝙖𝙬𝙞? 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝘽𝙞𝙖𝙨𝙚𝙨: 𝘼 𝙍𝙚𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙍𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖 𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙃𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙨” focused mainly on discussing the contentious issue of Jose Rizal's retraction, which includes the claimed conversion of the Filipino national hero to Roman Catholicism before he died in 1896.

𝐌𝐫. 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐨, 𝐋𝐏𝐓 was the guest speaker for the said webinar, empowering students to rely on authentic sources and do thorough research for the documents or claims provided. Listed below are the highlights of the webinar:

Rizal’s retraction is still a debatable topic up to this date, many “𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀” of his retraction letter were discovered but were still not enough to prove he retracted or not. 𝘼𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙤𝙧 𝙣𝙤𝙩.
