During the 1st IMPACT Conference held in Bacolod City on November 6, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) proudly featured our very own herbal innovation "Claritea", an instant raspberry fruit tea developed by the College of Pharmacy licensed by Adamson University to Herbaia Wellness Product Manufacturing. We are honored to be part of the exhibit showcasing Filipino excellence in research, product development and commercialization.

Adamson University joins the 1st IMPACT Conference in Bacolod City!
The Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) held the 1st IP Management for Academic Institutions Commercializing Technologies (IMPACT) Conference with the theme “From IMPACT to NXT Horizons: Surging the Next Wave of Knowledge and Technology Transfer” on November 6, 2025, in Bacolod City.
IMPACT supports universities and RDIs in strengthening Technology Transfer Offices through policy development, IP protection, capacity building, and technology commercialization.
Adamson University is among the 34 HEIs and RDIs that signed the MOA for IMPACT NXT. AdU was represented by Dr. Venusmar Quevedo, VP for Administrative Affairs, Ms. Felvic Fresco of AdUTX and Mr. Joseph Carlo Halili of AdUNEST.

Adamson University successfully held the annual Talk-N-Tech 5: Connect. Collaborate. Create. today, October 6, 2025, 9am-12nn at CT 805, CT Building, Adamson University.
The event gathered representatives from industry, government, and the academe to connect them with researchers, collaborate on innovative solutions and create potential research projects for possible commercialization.
Highlights included welcoming remarks from BOI Executive Director Ma. Corazon Halili-Dichosa and a message from AdU President Fr. Danilo Franklin Pilaro, CM, followed by reverse pitches from Engr. Danilo Javid, Director of Business Development and Supply Chain Management of Gruppo EMS, Ms. Christine Fajardo, Head of Communications and Patient Advocacy of Novartis Pharmaceutical Company and Mr. William Gutoman, Environmental Management Specialist I of DENR-NCR.
Faculty and student researchers participated in engaging “speed dating” sessions to develop potential solutions and partnership ideas.
The event concluded with talks from Engr. Eduardo Balmacedo Jr., IP Specialist of AdU-ITSO on technology and IP trends and Engr. Noe D. Enriquez, the Head of AdU Technology Transfer Office and OIC of IP Commercialization for the closing remarks.

The signing ceremony for the Technology Licensing Agreement between Adamson University and Herbaia Wellness Product Manufacturing took place today, August 15, 2025, at the Technology Industry Incubation Room (CT802), Dr. Carlos Tiu Center for Technology Innovation and Research, Adamson University.
Under this agreement, Adamson University licensed the technology “Claritea,” an instant herbal tea made from raspberry fruits, developed through research from the College of Pharmacy. Claritea holds the distinction of being the university’s first patented invention.
The agreement was formally signed by Adamson University President, Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario CM and Herbaia CEO, Mr. Bryle Vince Briane Samson, together with Herbaia Co-Founders Ms. Angeli Ann Recober, Chief Technology Officer, and Ms. Fatima Buerano, Chief Marketing Officer.
This event marks a significant milestone as it formalizes the licensing of the technology for commercialization.

Adamson University Technology Transfer Office (AdUTX) held the TALK-N-TECH 4, September 25, at the Co Po Ty AVR, Dr. Carlos Tiu Center for Technology Innovation & Research.
Bringing together academia, government, and industry leaders to inspire budding innovators, the event centered around the theme "Connect. Collaborate. Create," that fosters discussions on technology, innovation, and partnership-building.
The event opened with a welcome speech by Engr. Noe Enriquez, Head of AdUTX who set the tone for a day filled with innovative exchange of ideas and opportunities for knowledge building.
The keynote address by Dir. Romelen T. Tresvalles, Regional Director of Department of Science and Technology-National Capital Region (DOST-NCR), further reinforced the importance of partnerships, underlining the role of research as a foundational element in national development.
Key activities during TALK-N-TECH 4 included reverse pitching led by Mr. Michael Gallardo, a partner from Punongbayan and Araullo, the Philippine branch of Grant Thornton International Ltd (GTIL), which is one of the independently owned leading accounting and consulting firms in the world.
The reverse pitching activity allowed participants to share their innovation needs, while the Speed Dating and Team Meeting activities gave them opportunities to engage with potential collaborators.
