OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON REPUBLIC ACT 12315
The extension of EDCOM II underscores the PBBM administration's commitment to impactful reforms in education. Reforms that truly serve the needs of the Filipino learner.
Guided by the work of EDCOM II, we at TESDA, DepEd Philippines led by Sec. Sonny Angara, and Commission on Higher Education(CHED) headed by Chair Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis are now anchored on a collaboration that pushes for the completion of necessary reforms. With two more years of EDCOM, we can better ensure that what we have started will be sustained.

It was an honor to attend the TESDA Manila Stakeholders Forum 2026 with the theme โOne Direction, One Team, One Manila: Strengthening TVET Through Strong and Sustainable Partnership.โ
We extend our appreciation to the distinguished resource speakers:
โข Paul John P. Ramos, Acting District Director, TESDA NCR Manila
โข Felizardo Colambo, Deputy Director General
โข Eduardo Quintos XIV, City Administrator, Manila
โข Angelina Carreon, CESO III, Regional Director, TESDA NCR
Through this forum, we gained deeper insights into the strategic direction of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
The discussions emphasized that skills training for decent work serves as a pathway for upward mobility, providing individuals with second chances through continuous skilling and lifelong learning for transformation.
The Welding School Manila and Tradetest Center Inc. stands in solidarity with TESDAโs direction in strengthening standards, systems development, and quality training delivery to support and advance TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) provisions in the country.
Together, we continue to empower individuals through skills development and build stronger partnerships for a more skilled and competitive workforce.
