Ibaba muna ang bigat na pasan-pasan,
Tapos na ang deadline, huminto muna sa laban.
Sa dami ng puyat at mga gabing gising,
Ngayong Pasko, pahinga naman ang hiling.

Isantabi ang libro, ang pressure, at kaba,
Hindi ka muna estudyante, ikaw muna ay anak at pamilya.
Ang layo na ng nilakad ng iyong mga paa,
Kahit pagod ang katawan, kinaya mong pumunta.

Hayaan mong yakapin ka ng simoy ng hangin,
Sa hapag-kainan, walang grade na hihilingin.
Ang tanging requirement ay ang iyong ngiti,
At ang oras na sa wakas, sa inyo’y mananatili.

Dahil ang tunay na diwa ng Paskong dumarating,

The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management of NU Manila welcomed Prof. David Hind, President of Asia Pacific Institute of Events Management (APIEM), for a lecture on SDGs in Events Management. 🌐

Attended by MICE students, the session aimed to deepen understanding of sustainability in the events industry. Prof. Hind highlighted the importance of aligning event practices with SDGs to support social, economic, and environmental goals.

Through discussions and examples, students learned how to incorporate sustainability into all event stages. His expertise inspired students to see themselves as changemakers toward a more sustainable industry.

NU-CTHM thanks Prof. Hind for sharing his knowledge, reflecting NU Manila’s commitment to transformative learning that prepares students to lead responsibly in tourism and events.

All Saints’ Day 🕯️

Ngayong All Saints’ Day, sabay-sabay nating alalahanin at pahalagahan ang mga taong naging inspirasyon sa atin, mga santo, pamilya, kaibigan, at mga taong nag-iwan ng magandang alaala sa puso natin.

Tahimik man ang araw na ‘to, ramdam ang pagmamahal at pasasalamat sa bawat dasal, kandila, at alaala. Hindi lang ito tungkol sa paggunita, kundi tungkol din sa pagpapasalamat sa mga taong nagturo sa atin kung paano magmahal, magpatawad, at maging mabuting tao.

Habang patuloy tayong nabubuhay, sana dala natin ang mga turo nila, maging ilaw sa iba, kahit sa simpleng paraan. Maging mabuti, kahit mahirap. At patuloy na magmahal, kahit minsan nasasaktan.

Mula sa NU Manila - Tourism Society , isang mapayapa at makabuluhang All Saints’ Day sa lahat. 🕊️
