Benildeans, please be guided accordingly.
Known as "The King of Cakes", the Baumkuchen is a very special confectionery which originates from Germany years ago. Today, its considered as a traditional pastry in many parts of Europe, and is also a widely popular type of cake in Japan after Karl Juchheim, a german baker, had made and sold it there years ago.
When translated to English, Baumkuchen literally means "tree cake". It's called as such because of how it resembles a huge piece of log when made, and how it then looks like a tree ring when sliced.
We would like to thank our member and friend Argie Tanaka for letting us experience the great taste of what is considered as the king of cakes. Arigato Gozaimasu!~
