Kapag ang museo ay naglalakbay, mas maraming komunidad ang naaabot ng kaalaman.

Abangan ang 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐮𝐦 𝐁𝐨𝐱𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐞 - isang makabuluhang paglalakbay sa saribuhay, kalikasan, at yamang kultura ng mga pamayanang Sierra Madre.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng National Museum of the Philippines, Forest Foundation Philippines at Research Institute for Science and Technology (RIST) ng Polytechnic University of the Philippines, inilalapit natin ang museo sa mga mag-aaral, g**o, at komunidad - saanman naroroon.

Sama-sama nating buksan ang mga kahon, tuklasin ang mga kuwento, at buhayin ang diwa ng pagkatuto at pagkamangha!

#𝐏𝐔𝐏𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

The Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) successfully held its 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧-𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐔𝐏 𝐌𝐔𝐑𝐚𝐋𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 on July 31, 2026, hosted at the PUP Sto. Tomas and virtually via Zoom. Carrying the theme “Harmonizing Local Research with Global Perspectives,” the landmark event provided an international academic platform for faculty and student researchers from PUP Mulanay, General Luna, Unisan, Ragay, Lopez, Sto. Tomas and Talisay campuses to present research findings.

The conference was organized in partnership with the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗜𝗢𝗘𝗥), represented by its president, Dr. Marites D. Olea, to foster a culture of interdisciplinary and globally relevant inquiry.

During her keynote address, Vice President for Research, Extension and Development 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝘆 𝗣. 𝗚𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻 emphasized that local research serves as the essential building blocks for international solutions. Gapasin further explained that "harmonization" requires researchers to ground their work in local community needs while adhering to the highest international standards of academic rigor.

The conference highlights PUP’s strategic commitment to its 2024-2028 University Development Plan (UDP), specifically the goal of intensifying research innovation and dissemination. Dr. Gapasin lauded the university’s recent global milestones, including securing the 186th spot in the WURI 2026 rankings and achieving a total of 883 Scopus research outputs as of late July.

The event, which featured plenary speakers from Malaysia and Thailand, concluded with a call for participants to leverage digital transformation and ethical leadership to establish PUP as a leading comprehensive polytechnic university in Asia.

𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐛𝐬: The Philippines is the primary driver of engagement, accounting for the highest volume of total actions and unique users. Activity is also notable in the United States, China, and across Southeast Asia in nations like Vietnam and Singapore.

𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬: The Philippines demonstrates a pattern of repeat engagement, with total views and downloads (9,439) significantly higher than the number of unique users (6,586). In contrast, many international regions—such as Vietnam, Japan, and Brazil—show a nearly 1:1 ratio between total actions and unique users, indicating a broad "one-off" discovery audience.

The Philippines led global engagement with 6,368 total actions, while the United States followed with 2,752 downloads and views. Other top-performing regions included China, which contributed 1,228 views, and Singapore, which demonstrated an efficient reach to individual researchers.

Key geographic hubs drove the majority of the digital traffic during this period. Beijing stood out as the top international city with 661 downloads, and Ashburn, Virginia, served as a major node for North American readership with 618 downloads. While Philippine urban centers like Manila and Mandaluyong saw the highest volume of repeat engagement, international markets in the United Kingdom and Singapore were notable for their high unique-user retention. This diverse interaction highlights the journal’s growing influence in both established and emerging academic landscapes such as Viet Nam and India.

Engagement data from January to July shows the journal reached thousands of unique users across multiple continents, including Asia, North America, and Europe. The Philippines emerged as the top region for visibility with 5,723 total actions, while the United States followed with 3,396 downloads and views.

Analysis of reader behavior reveals distinct patterns between the leading countries. Philippine readers demonstrated a deep-reading habit with an average of 1.57 actions per unique user, particularly in urban areas like Mandaluyong, Manila, and Marilao. In contrast, the United States represented a massive discovery audience characterized by a nearly one-to-one ratio of views to unique users. Ashburn, Virginia, stood out as the leading single content hub globally for the publication with 804 total downloads.

𝐄𝐝𝐑𝐞𝐯 (𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰) also established a firm footprint across other major international markets during the reporting period. India and Singapore followed the top two nations in engagement, while major city hubs in New Delhi, Hanoi, and London drove significant traffic. With additional readership recorded in Poland, France, China, and Japan, the publication continues to expand its influence as a global academic resource.

The Philippines led all regions with 5,423 total views, followed by the United States with 4,812 and Singapore with 1,664. Readers in the Philippines were concentrated in urban hubs like Manila and Makati City, while U.S. traffic centered on technological corridors such as Ashburn and Mountain View.

Other top-performing regions included China, Viet Nam, and India. These metrics represent a comprehensive snapshot of digital interaction across all journal sections during the reporting period.
