As we start a new academic year, the formal exit of the previous student council has set in motion. The CHASS-SW Student Council will now conclude the operation of all its social media accounts for the term that has officially ended. With this, the official page will no longer be active alongside its email and instagram accounts but in the act of preservation of records, it will remain in publication. To have served the college is to have served the people in it, and to have empowered the people in it is to have ingrained support and motivation for them. The council takes pride in knowing that the term has ended with integrity, as it has always operated upon genuine consideration, inclusion, support, and understanding towards the student body.

Formerly, we were the student council pioneers of the then School of Social Work. Currently, we are students, just like you, proud enough to have led, served, and empowered. As we take on this new journey, we want to emphasize that, even as students, we remain committed to serving the community alongside you. Our dedication to making a positive impact will continue unwaveringly. It has been a huge honor to raise our swords and banners with you, 𝙎𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙧𝙨! ⚔️

There’s always that one moment in time we wish we could freeze. However, time is a relentless element that none of us can fight. Thus, with great honor and respect, the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences - Social Work Student Council extends its deep appreciation to the unsung leaders of the organization who provided stability to enhance our service to the student body – the Executive Officers and Student Liaison Officers.

Through continuous efforts to be a paragon of dedication, these leaders embodied the council’s core values – Lead, Serve, Empower–with excellence; serving not just the council but all of its constituents through night and day, and as such, deserves recognition for their tremendous contribution to the development of the Social Work Community.

Hats off to the most formidable, resilient, persevering minds of the Social Work community!

On June 29, the College of Humanities Arts and Social Sciences Student Council conducted the first Gawad Iskolar, an inaugural awarding of students with the most promising performance celebrating hard work and dedication to the world of academe.

As fierce and mighty, the 𝘚𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘳𝘴 roared over the azure to honor their blood and sweat. With that, the cream of the crop received the highest distinction in each year level garnering the 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 (𝗚𝗪𝗔) among the competitive environment of the Social Work community for the Academic Year 2023-2024. Today, we honor 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝟱 who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and academic excellence.

Indeed, it is truly a long-winded journey, but the fruits of your labor that awaited you at the end outweighs all the endless all-nighters and self-doubts you encountered. 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗦𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘀!💜

ICYMI: Sa sesyon sa hapon, kinilala rin ang mga Dean's Lister ng graduating batch ng 2023-2024 at iginawad ang pagpupugay sa mga natatanging mag-aaral mula sa iba't ibang departamento ng kolehiyo.
Muli, isang mainit na pagbati sa ating mga matagumpay na Blue Ravens. Patuloy nawa natin isulong ang adbokasiya para sa mas mataas na antas ng edukasyon at maglingkod sa ating bayan nang buong puso at dedikasyon.

ICYMI: Noong Hunyo 29, 2024, ginanap ang unang pagbibigay parangal ng Gawad Iskolar 2024 sa Justo Alberto Auditorium (JAA), kung saan pinarangalan ang mga Dean's Lister ng 1st year, 2nd year, at 3rd year.
Kaya't kami ay lubos na bumabati sa aming mga kapwa Blue Ravens sa kanilang tagumpay bilang mga Dean's Lister ng taong panuruan 2023-2024! Ang inyong mga natamong karangalan ay nagbibigay inspirasyon sa bawat isa sa atin na mangarap at abutin ang bughaw na kalangitan.
Patuloy nating ipagmalaki ang ating husay at dedikasyon, at sama-sama nating abutin ang ating mga pangarap at patuloy na lumipad nang mataas!
