𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | Q&A Session with Institute of Health Sciences and Nursing Department Chairs

The last segment of the FEU Preview for aspiring Tamaraw students is the Question and Answer session with the department chairs of Nursing, Medical Technology, the newly established Pharmacy, and Nutrition and Dietetics.

The Nursing Department Chair, Mx. Jonathan Cañares, highlights the exclusive features of the V.I.N.E.S. Laboratory, which simulates a hospital environment, allowing students to practice their profession.

Davonn Ashley Asuncion, the President of the Nursing Society, shared his words of encouragement and advice for the incoming IHSN students.

Mx. Asuncion emphasized the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people on this challenging journey. He noted that we are not solitary characters in this story but share it with outstanding individuals who help us realize our potential and become the best versions of ourselves.

Nursing representatives include Erik Emmanuel Pamplona, the Nursing Society Treasurer for Level 1; Chastine Maisie Victorio, the Nursing Society Auditor for Level 2; Faith Angelique Rebolledo, the Nursing Society Vice President for Level 3; and Michael Joshua Laroco, the former Nursing Society Auditor for Level 4.

𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | Mendoza and Salas' Outstanding Achievement with the FEU Chorale

It is our pride to recognize and congratulate the talents of the Far Eastern University Chorale. Recently, the FEU Chorale braved their way to an outstanding achievement as Grand Prix Winners, earning the Gold Diploma and the Championship in the Mixed & Equal Voices Category at the 2nd Sing, Tarlac, Sing! Choral Festival and Competition held at the Kaisa Convention Hall in Tarlac City on June 2, 2024.

Their dedication, hard work, and exceptional musicality have truly shone through, bringing honor not only to themselves but also to the entire FEU community. We applaud their remarkable performance and wish them continued success in all future endeavors.

On behalf of the entire Nursing community, we extend our warmest congratulations and celebrate this momentous accomplishment with the Chorale, especially recognizing our participants from the department: Ms. Anne Nichole Mendoza, a Level IV nursing student, and Mr. Iverson John Salas, a Level I nursing student.

The FEU IHSN-Nursing conducts the Batch 2024 (Level 4) Mock Boards Examination as part of its in-house review. The examination took place from May 28 to May 29, 2024, at the Science Building (SB), Nicanor Reyes Hall (NRH), and the Accounts, Business & Finances Building (ABB). These mock board exams are designed to simulate the actual Philippine Nursing Licensure Examination (PNLE) and assist students in their preparation for the official examination.

The journey may be tough, but the destination is worth every effort. Keep striving, future Tamaraw Nurses – your dreams are within reach!

Isang mainit na pagbati at isang malalim na pagpupugay sa inyong lahat! Ngayong kayo'y malapit nang sumabak sa Nursing Qualifying Exam, nais naming iparating ang aming taos-pusong mensahe para sa inyo.

Naaalala namin ang mga unang hakbang sa landas na ito. Ang mga araw na puno ng pagod, pag-aalinlangan, at pangarap. Kayong lahat ay nasa puntong ito ngayon, at kami’y buong-buo ang paniniwala na malalampasan ninyo ang lahat ng hamon na darating.

Sa bawat pahina ng inyong mga libro, sa bawat oras na inyong ginugugol sa pag-aaral, nasa inyong puso ang isang hangarin—ang maging isang tunay na tagapag-alaga, at isang tagapagbigay ng pag-asa. Alam namin na hindi madali ang landas na ito. Minsan ay mapapaisip kayo kung kaya ninyo pa bang magpatuloy. Ngunit tandaan ninyo, bawat hakbang na ginagawa ninyo ay isang hakbang patungo sa katuparan ng inyong mga pangarap.

Hindi kayo nag-iisa sa laban na ito. Ang inyong mga g**o, pamilya, at mga kaibigan ay nasa inyong tabi, handang magbigay ng suporta at lakas. Ang kanilang tiwala at pagmamahal ay isang matibay na sandigan na maaari ninyong panghawakan.

Kaya, sa bawat hakbang patungo sa silid-aralan ng eksaminasyon, dalhin ninyo ang lahat ng aral at inspirasyong nakalap ninyo. Manalig kayo sa inyong sarili at sa inyong kakayahan. Kayang-kaya ninyo ito!

Nasa inyo ang aming mga panalangin at suporta. Magtiwala kayo, hindi lamang sa inyong kakayahan, kundi pati na rin sa proseso ng pagkatuto at sa inyong pangarap na maging isang ganap na nars.

Patuloy na mangarap at magsikap, mga mahal naming bunso. Ang inyong tagumpay ay tagumpay nating lahat.

ICYMI: Introducing a new generation of student leaders who exemplify the core values of Fortitude, Excellence, and Uprightness

On May 27, 2024, the FEU Student Development and FEU Central Student Organization hosted the Induction and Oath-Taking Ceremony at the FEU Auditorium. Mr. Chris Ferareza, a partner at P&A Grant Thornton, President of the FEU Alumni Foundation, and an FEU alumnus (BSA, Batch 1998), has been the keynote speaker and led the induction of the newly elected and appointed officers.

The event brought together student leaders from FEU Central Student Organization, Institute Councils, Academic Organizations, and University-wide Organizations to take their oath of office.
