Having an online class with a group of young learners is still possible. It can also be effective and meaningful.

These are my students who will be entering Kinder 2 this coming school year. In just three weeks, we were able to learn how to read words with long vowel sounds, and we have already started practicing reading short stories. I am truly amazed at how fast they are progressing. 🤗

They will enter Kinder 2 with more confidence, greater independence, and a stronger love for reading and learning. I am so proud of each and every one of you.

Keep it up, my babies. I can’t wait to see you read even more stories and continue growing into amazing little readers. 📚😊

There’s a different kind of fulfillment when you see and hear your student reading fluently and confidently, not just words or short phrases but full stories. It becomes even more rewarding when you know they truly understand what they are reading. 🤗

Face-to-face classes may be suspended, but our online tutoring continues. ☺️ One of the things I truly appreciate in teaching children this young is the teamwork between parents and teachers. Learning has become one of their special bonding moments, where mothers and children discover together. Parents get to see their child’s skills more clearly and witness their growth firsthand. Yes, teaching little ones can be quite challenging, but it is always fulfilling to see them learn and progress. ♥️

Our goal was for her to start reading 3-letter CVC words by age 3, and she did it! Now that she’s just turned 4, she’s already beginning to read words with long vowel sounds! We’re hoping that soon, she’ll be reading short stories and further developing her reading comprehension skills. So proud of you, Callie! I’m excited for your new journey in Kinder 1. I know you’ll be learning so much more from here on out! 🌟📚

In just 15 sessions, this student can now read short stories! 😊 We started by reviewing how to read and write simple three-letter CVC words. After Kristen mastered those, we moved on to reading and writing words with long vowel sounds. We completed the entire reading topic in just three weeks. Then, on the last two days of our first cycle, she completely surprised me—she was already able to read a short story just like the one in this video! 😍 But that’s not all—I also checked her reading comprehension by asking questions related to the story, and guess what? She answered them correctly and even wrote her answers down accurately. 🥰 She’s excelling not just in reading, but also in expressing her thoughts both orally and in writing. ⭐️ I’m incredibly proud of her progress!Thank you for trusting me. I truly hope her progress in reading continues! 🫶🏻

Watch how proficient this Kindergarten student of ours has become in reading. We are amazed at how well he understood what he read. You can see in the middle of the video how he correctly answered all the questions about the passage. He also applied what he learned about prepositions from our lessons in the past weeks.

It's satisfying to look back at our past videos; he was just learning the sounds of each letter and trying to combine them to form syllables. But look at him now, he can read a short story.

No matter where you are based, we will find a way to help your children and include them in one of our reading programs.

She is our student who recently migrated to the US. It's wonderful and makes us proud because she is now excellent in reading and understanding what she reads. In our early days in class, she was a bit confused with the sounds of letters and struggled to blend them, but because she was determined and obedient, she quickly learned. She is now proficient in reading in English and Filipino.
Now, we can certainly say, that she is more confident and ready to enter her new school in the U.S. Great Job, Z 💕

📌 Essential literacy skills that students will gain after some sessions at Reading Tots:

⭐️ Reading fluency that allows them to recognize and understand words, sentences and paragraphs.

⭐️ High-level reading comprehension that allows them to develop their skills in making inferences, giving predictions, identifying patterns, and such.

⭐️ Superb oral and written communication skills that allow them to express their thoughts and ideas clearly.

⭐️ Grammatical awareness that allows them construct their thoughts correctly either in Filipino or English language.

At Reading Tots, we believe that these skills are necessary for students to obtain. As they develop and master these skills, they also become capable in functioning and performing well in other subjects. 💯📚👧🏻👦👶🏻
