PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION

Bethel-Knox School accepts the sacred and infallible truth that every human being is endowed with the dignity of a person. The school adheres to the fundamental principle that humans have an inalienable right to education directed to the attainment of his or her destiny and suited to his or her unique individuality, inherent goodness, rich ancestral heritage and culture.

The school, therefore, is focused at the development of the total person: a person who is self-directed, imbued with Christian values and wisdom, competent to lead others to the acquisition and appreciation of whatever is true, good and beautiful.

Bethel-Knox School accepts the task of assisting students in the integrated development of their physical, intellectual, moral, emotional and social endowments and of guiding them towards the acquisition of a mature sense of responsibility and the pursuit of authentic freedom. Thus, aware of who they are, and who they can become, these students will respond to the needs of the times and serve their fellowmen in the spirit of gratitude for what they have received.
