Dr. Agrupis is the 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙣 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘿), bringing with her extensive experience as an academic leader, researcher, and public servant. A former 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙤 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙤𝙨 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮, she has championed academic 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, advancing a globally competitive and inclusive higher education system.

Dr. Palmes-Saloma is the 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗣 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, Professor of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, and Principal Investigator at the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗡𝗜𝗠𝗕𝗕). She previously served as 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗣 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, where she led critical efforts in genomic biosurveillance during the COVID-19 pandemic, identifying SARS-CoV-2 variants through whole genome sequencing.

She earned her Ph.D. from 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻, and has received numerous recognitions, including the 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 and the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗮𝗽𝘂-𝗟𝗮𝗽𝘂 (𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴)for her contributions to national science and public health.

Dr. Trinidad is a leading expert in sports psychology, with over 15 years of experience as Head Sports Psychologist and Consultant of the Philippine Sports Commission. She has led national programs on mental resilience, peak performance, and athlete development, and served as the personal sports psychologist of Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

An Associate Professor at the University of Santo Tomas, Dr. Trinidad holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology (cum laude) and continues to advance the field through research, teaching, and advocacy. Her contributions were recognized with a Special Award in Sports Psychology (2024) from the Philippine Sports Commission.

Dr. Walag is a Professor of Science Education at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines. His work focuses on science extension, STEM teacher professional development, and community-engaged research, leading initiatives that translate research into impactful practice.

He has spearheaded capacity-building programs for teachers, co-creation projects addressing learning gaps, and community-based and biodiversity initiatives, highlighting the power of partnerships among academia, schools, and communities. He also serves as Managing Editor of the Mindanao Journal of Science and Technology and is active in regional and international science education networks.

Prof. Peng is a professor at the Department of Physics, National D**g Hwa University (NDHU). His research focuses on the development of novel mass spectrometric methods for rapid identification of viruses, bacteria, and cells. His work includes advancements in linear ion trap mass spectrometry, biomarker discovery, and innovative techniques for protein quantification and microorganism identification.

His laboratory also explores nanodiamond and metal-organic framework (M*F) materials, high-mass polymer analysis, and real-time measurement of electrospray ions—contributing to cutting-edge developments in biomedical and analytical sciences.

Dr. Prudente is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Science Education, De La Salle University-Manila. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology from Ehime University, Japan, under the JSPS Ronpaku Fellow Grant.

Her work centers on environmental monitoring of persistent pollutants, climate change literacy, and innovative science teaching approaches. A recognized leader in science education, she has received prestigious honors including the Lasallian Pillar of Excellence in Research (2015), the NRCP Lifetime National Achievement Award (2015), and the Outstanding Filipino JSPS Fellow in Education (2018).

Dr. Montoya is the Executive Director of the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD). A physician-scientist and research leader, his work has significantly advanced health research systems, infectious disease research, and public health innovation in the Philippines and beyond.

🌊 ACSEER Welcomes 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚!

We are thrilled to feature 𝐃𝐫. 𝐊𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 as a parallel session speaker at ACSEER 2026. She is a distinguished faculty member of the Department of Aquatic Product Technology (APT), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB University, and leads the Division of Marine Biotechnology, Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies (CCMRS). Since October 2023, she serves as Executive Secretary of the International Research Institute of Maritime, Ocean, and Fisheries at IPB University.

Dr. Tarman earned her doctoral degree in Natural Sciences from the Institute of Pharmacy, Greifswald University, Germany. Her research focuses on blue foods, marine natural products, and marine microbiology, particularly marine fungi. She currently serves as President of the DAAD Alumni Association for Marine Resources Studies (DAMARS) and contributes to several national associations, including the Indonesian Society for Mycology (Mikoina), Indonesian Society for Fisheries Product Processing (MPHPI), and Indonesian Forum for Bioremediation.

She is also on the editorial board of the Indonesian Journal of Fisheries Product Processing and reviews for prominent journals such as Tropical Marine Sciences and Technology, Marine Drugs, and Biomaterial Sciences.
