Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 129, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 19, 2026:

πŸ“ Zambales
πŸ“ Batangas
πŸ“ Cavite
πŸ“ Laguna
πŸ“ Rizal
πŸ“ Occidental Mindoro
πŸ“ Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School (SHS) in public and private schools on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to the southwest monsoon (habagat) expected to bring cloudy skies with intermittent light to moderate, at times heavy rainfall over the city.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools on Friday, August 7, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon (habagat) enhanced by Tropical Depression Maymay.

According to the MCDRRMD, the latest weather models and rainfall outlook from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) indicate continued rainfall tomorrow, with intensity ranging from light to moderate, at times heavy.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of face-to-face classes from Kinder to Senior High School (SHS) in public and private schools today, Wednesday, August 5, 2026, due to inclement weather brought about by a thunderstorm carried by the habagat (southwest monsoon).

According to the MCDRRMD, rainfall this afternoon is expected to continue at the same intensity as yesterday (light to moderate, at times heavy), consistent with the on-and-off character of habagat weather.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.

In view of the possible effects of Typhoon Inday and in consideration of the safety and well-being of our learners, Carlos P. Garcia High School shall shift to Home-Based Independent Learning Activities (HINAY Mode) for both Junior High School and Senior High School students.

Learners are advised to stay safe at home and accomplish the learning tasks provided by their teachers through the designated learning platforms and communication channels. Let us remain vigilant, prepared, and prioritize safety during this weather disturbance.
