The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 proudly welcomes home one of its most distinguished alumni, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮-𝗩𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗴, 𝗖𝗣𝗔, who will serve as the Commencement Speaker for the 𝟵𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗘 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 on June 8, 2026, at the PICC Plenary Hall.

A true Warrior through and through, Ms. Garcia-Vitug's journey at UE is marked by excellence and leadership. She graduated as Valedictorian of the Elementary Training Department and High School Department and later earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, in 1986. She was also a Citizenship Awardee, a University Scholar, and a student leader who served in various leadership positions, including President of the University Student Council.

Today, Ms. Garcia-Vitug is the Chief Finance Officer of BreadTalk Philippines and Chief Executive Officer of Diversified World Business Consulting, bringing with her decades of leadership experience in finance, business operations, and organizational growth. Her remarkable career stands as a testament to the power of excellence, integrity, and perseverance—values that she first nurtured as a UE student.

As she returns to her alma mater to address the graduating Class of 2026, her story serves as an inspiration to every Warrior: that with dedication, leadership, and character, great achievements are within reach.

We are proud to welcome home a distinguished UE alumna whose achievements continue to bring honor to the University and whose journey serves as an outstanding example for our future leaders. 🔴⚪️

The Lucio Tan-owned University of the East (UE) has extended until June 15 its offer allowing incoming college freshmen to enroll for the 2026-2027 academic year with an initial tuition payment of P1,000.

The offer is also is open to incoming Kinder 1 and Kinder 2 pupils, Grade 1, Grade 7, and Grade 11 students until July 1, making quality UE education more accessible to new enrollees across key entry levels.
