The Bangsamoro Darul-Ifta’ hereby issues the following official advisory for the upcoming blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH:

1. 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝑫𝒉𝒖𝒍-𝑯𝒊𝒋𝒋𝒂𝒉
The month of Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH has begun on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, based on the official moon sighting result conducted by Kingdom of Saudi Arabia religious authorities and astronomical observatories.

2. 𝒀𝒂𝒘𝒎𝒖 ‘𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒂𝒉 (𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒂𝒉)
The 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah, known as Yawmu ‘Arafah, will fall on Thursday, June 5, 2025. This is a highly virtuous day, especially recommended for fasting for those not performing Hajj.

3. 𝑬𝒊𝒅 𝒂𝒍-𝑨𝒅𝒉𝒂 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓
Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2025, corresponding to the 10th day of Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH. The Eid Prayer is scheduled at exactly 6:00 a.m., followed by the Eid Khutbah.

4. 𝑨𝒚𝒚𝒂𝒎 𝒂𝒍-𝑻𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒒 (𝑫𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒒)
The blessed Ayyam al-Tashreeq will span Saturday, June 7 to Monday, June 9, 2025 (11th to 13th of Dhul-Hijjah), concluding at Maghrib on June 9 (Monday). These are days of remembrance and gratitude, during which the Takbeer is continued and the sacrifice (Qurbani) may still be offered.

All recognized places designated for Eid prayer are strongly encouraged to observe this schedule in unity and harmony with the ummah.

Si Rabe ang ikaanim na Pilipino na nakarating sa tuktok ng Everest.
Ang Mount Everest ay nananatiling isa sa mga pinaka delikadong bundok na akyatin sa mundo, dahil sa manipis na hangin sa matataas na lugar at sa matinding epekto nito sa katawan ng tao.

Filipino mountaineer Rhisael "Ric" Rabe successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, on Thursday at 7:15 a.m. (Nepal time), according to a social media post by his wife, Aileen.

Rabe, a native of Cotabato City, made the ascent via the South Col route in Nepal, standing at 29,030 feet above sea level. He is now the first Filipino to summit Mount Everest in nearly two decades.

“We all know that Ric from Cotabato City — unsponsored, unpublicized, and quietly determined — already reached the summit yesterday morning (May 15) thru the South Col (Nepal),” Aileen wrote on Facebook.

Aileen also reminded the public that the climb is far from over, as Ric still needs to descend safely.

Rabe documented his expedition on Facebook, including his first day on April 6.

“Day 1: Hazy sky, red sun, no planes. So we were helicoptered to Lukla instead. Trekked the sherpa way—23+kg on the head, straight Lukhla to Phading in 2hrs! Usual time is 4 hours. My guide said we were fast. I said no. We could have run if I had my backpack,” he wrote.

Rabe is the sixth Filipino to reach the summit of Everest.

Mount Everest remains one of the world’s most dangerous climbs due to thin air at high altitudes and the toll it takes on the human body.
