WORKSHOP ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE RESEARCH AND EXTENSION MERIT PROMOTION SYSTEM AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE RESEARCH AND EXTENSION PERSONNEL SELECTION BOARD (R&E PSB)

The pursuit of excellence in research and extension begins with a fair, transparent, and merit-based system.

This workshop brings together academic leaders, researchers, extension practitioners, and institutional stakeholders to collaboratively develop a Research and Extension Merit Promotion System and establish the Research and Extension Personnel Selection Board (R&E PSB). These initiatives aim to strengthen policies, recognize outstanding performance, and ensure that promotion and selection processes are aligned with excellence, integrity, and institutional goals.

Through collaborative discussions and policy development, participants will contribute to building a framework that:
βœ… Promotes merit-based career advancement
βœ… Recognizes excellence in research and extension
βœ… Strengthens institutional governance and accountability
βœ… Encourages innovation, productivity, and community engagement
βœ… Supports the professional growth of research and extension personnel

Together, we are laying the foundation for a stronger culture of research, innovation, extension, and public service.

Building Excellence. Promoting Merit. Empowering Researchers and Extension Professionals.
