Since Last year ITECH's Ladderization Exam not half of the batch passed the exam. The student felt the unfairness of not qualifying to continue to a Bachelor's Degree after taking the 3 years course and completing the requirements to ladderize. Furthermore, some concerns arises as well from the student body such as:

• Lack of Proper Guidelines
• Late Announcement of Exact Date of the Examination
• Creditation of National Certificates (NC)
• Reconsideration for Qualifying Examinations

Due to that, the PUP Institute of Technology Student Council will be releasing a sensing form regarding the upcoming Ladderization Examination for A.Y. 2023-2024.

This sensing form will ask for opinions and thoughts from the students of Institute of Technology regarding the Qualifying Examination of Ladderized Program (Engineering and Management Technology Programs). This also served to urge the administration to give us proper guidelines as soon as possible to give more time and preparation for the upcoming Qualifying Examinations.

With that being said, the PUP ITECH SC are inviting all current and former students of ITECH to answer this sensing form. This will be a big help as we reach to our goal to become united for the betterment of the University and for the next generation of Iskolars ng Bayan.

𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐑𝐘 | 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐒

Big news for all Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Institute of Technology students and alumni! On March 17, 2023, the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) released a memo stating that starting the AY 2022-2023, graduates of diploma programs who pursued bachelor's degrees in PUP will now be able to graduate with Latin Honors. This is a significant development that acknowledges the academic excellence of the Institute of Technology students and their hard work in pursuing their degree programs.

For previous batches, this was a struggle, as they were not able to graduate with Latin Honors due to the university's previous policies. But with this new memo, the efforts and achievements of ITECH students and alumni will now be properly recognized and celebrated. This is a testament to PUP's commitment to continually improve its programs and provide better opportunities for its students.

Because of that, let us take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of the Institute of Technology studentry. It is through their efforts and advocacy that this grant has been made possible. The student council and its constituents have been pushing for this policy change for a long time, recognizing the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the academic achievements of the ITECH students and alumni.

Congratulations to all the upcoming graduates who will now have the chance to graduate with Latin Honors. You are all a testament to the excellence and dedication of PUP-ITECH students.

As the new year starts, a new set of officers has been selected to prove that leadership is an action and not a position. The OMT-ICT Academic Organization is the official academic organization that represents the students from the Office Management Technology (OMT) & Information Communication Technology (ICT) Department of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Institute of Technology. Coming from the previous leaders whom we've been worked and helped with, the good relationship of academic organization and the students are important to be established. With the newly elected officers, good strings between students and the body of organization will retain and further nourished.
