Cercospora zeae-maydis (CERCZM) is a destructive fungus that is strengthened by hot tropical weather and high humidity such as in the Philippines, resulting in recurrent adverse impacts of having maize Cercospora leas spot disease, and quantification of leaf damage is essential for plant phenotyping in understanding pathogen interaction. The developed seamless MobileNetV2-GQPSO-RNN model provides reliable disease detection and quantitative assessment on the maize leaf surface in on-field phenotyping. (RS Concepcion II et al., 2021)

FTIR revealed no new bond or reaction between Chl-a and anthocyanin dyes resulting in a broader light absorption spectrum. ES-based DSSC has the most stable photoelectrical properties in the 21-day stability test. (RS Concepcion et al., 2021)

Crop quality depends dominantly on the nutrients present in its growth media. It was confirmed that potassium helped in accelerating seed germination and nitrogen in promoting chlorophyll intensification, especially on the sixth week after sowing. Phosphate and potassium were the energy and health elements that were consumed in a larger amount at the end of the head development stage. wNPK rules out that macronutrient concentration have a direct resemblance to crop leaf signatures; thus, a leaf is a good indicator of the water quality. (RS Concepcion II et al., 2021)

Optimizing crop production is one of the significant advances in urban agriculture and biosystems engineering. This deals with providing possibilities of year-long plant-based food supply in an efficiently limited space or environment; to cater to the increasing demand of population necessities.
