📖Every Child a Reader is a program that helps schools and libraries to improve literacy and ensure that every student can read. 📖The program provides grants to develop, implement, and evaluate local literacy improvement strategies that focus on providing literacy education to students.
📖It also aims to increase parent participation in their child's literacy development and help parents understand what they can do to help support their child's reading development at home, including helping them find books that are appropriate for their child's age and interests, modeling good reading habits, encouraging children to read independently, providing books when needed, engaging parents in discussions about reading, coaching children on how to read using strategies taught in school and increasing the number of high-quality books available at schools.
