The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 of Adamson University, in partnership with the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒), successfully conducted the 𝐒𝐭. 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞: 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 on May 7–8, 2026 at OZ104, Adamson University.

This 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 was designed to equip participants from our adopted communities with valuable carpentry skills that can open doors to livelihood and employment opportunities. Through hands-on training and practical demonstrations, participants learned the fundamentals of carpentry, proper use of tools, basic construction techniques, and workplace safety practices.

By providing technical knowledge and practical skills, the workshop aims to empower community members with competencies that can help improve their economic opportunities and contribute to their personal and professional growth.

The activity reflects the commitment of the Department of Civil Engineering and ICES to community development through education, skills training, and Vincentian service.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all facilitators, volunteers, faculty members, and participants whose enthusiasm and cooperation made this program a success.

“𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞-𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫-𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.”

This yearly academic event will feature the innovative research works of our civil engineering students, together with research presentations from our faculty members. It aims to promote a stronger culture of research, innovation, and collaboration within the CE community.

Join us on May 22, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for the 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the OZ Conference Room and the 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at OZ 202.

This international initiative strengthens academic collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation among ASEAN civil engineering institutions.

Our Civil Engineering students had an incredible learning experience during their field trip to two remarkable industry leaders: 𝐌𝐞𝐠𝐚 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐀𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐭 and 𝐒𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧! 🏗️🌍

The field trip, held on April 29 and May 4, 2026, gave our students a firsthand look at cutting-edge practices in the construction, asphalt and concrete industries. It was a great opportunity for them to connect theory with real-world applications, observe the latest technologies, and understand the processes behind road construction as well as asphalt and concrete production. 🛠️

A big thank you to both Mega Southern Asphalt and Sahara Batching Plant Corporation for being such gracious hosts, and for providing invaluable insights that will certainly inspire our future engineers! 👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

This field trip was a huge success and an essential part of our students' academic journey, bringing them one step closer to becoming the civil engineers of tomorrow. 🚀
