Engr. Jerome Famadico, CE Chairperson, presented their research entitled "Development and Evaluation of "i-Skedyul", a PERT-CPM Web-based Scheduling Application for Small-scale Construction Projects" at the Adamson University Faculty Research Colloquium. This was held today, February 15 at OZ AVR during the week-long celebration of the 92nd Founding Anniversary of Adamson University.

Engr. Jerome Jordan Famadico, Civil Engineering Department Chairperson, presented their research at the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL) 2023 Conference. This was held on December 7-8 at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), Hanoi, Vietnam. 💐🇻🇳💐

Their research was entitled "Development and Evaluation of “i-Skedyul”, a PERT-CPM Web-based Scheduling Application for Small-scale Construction Projects". The authors are: Engr. Jerome Jordan F. Famadico, Engr. Vincent Romeo C. Villalobos, Engr. Vladimier A. Garcia, Engr. Diana Ann G. Tuazon.

Aside from Engr. Famadico, Fr. Marcelo Manimtim (University President), Dr. Nuna Almanzor ( Director, Center for Research and Development), and Mr. Riel Anthony Oli (Faculty Member, College of Phamacy) also attended the said conference.

Adamson University soars even higher at the QS Asia Rankings 2024! 👏👏👏👍

Adamson University soars in 2024 QS Asia Rankings

Adamson University continues its rise as one of the top educational institutions in Asia as reported on the 2024 edition of the QS Asia University Rankings released this November 8.

According to the list published by global higher education analysis firm Quacquarelli Symonds, Adamson University was ranked in the top 5 best universities in the Philippines after it posted vast improvements in the results of QS’ annual review.

AdU placed 551-600 in Asia, an impeccable jump from its 701-750 rank in the previous year. This present ranking puts the University above 36% of the QS-listed institutions in the region, again, a far cry from last 2023 when Adamson outranked 8% of the schools in the survey.

The University was also listed as the number 88 school in Southeast Asia.
Adamson garnered its best scores in the Citations per paper, International Student Relations, Inbound Exchange Students, Academic Reputation and International Faculty Ratio metrics.

Other indicators included Employer Reputation, Outbound Exchange Students, Faculty-Student Ratio, Papers per faculty, International Research Network and Staff with PhD.

QS, in their website, said the metrics used in the Asian Rankings were similar to what is being used for the World University Rankings, although they employed additional indicators and adapted weightings developed after consultation with regional experts and stakeholders to reflect key priorities for Asian universities.

This year’s QS Asia University Rankings features 857 academic institutions across 25 different locations in the Asian region, including 16 from the Philippines.

We invite everyone, especially those taking the CE Board Examinations this coming November 17-18, to celebrate with us the Holy Mass on November 15, 12 nn, at ST Chapel in Adamson University. This will be offered for the special intentions of our AdU-CE Board Examinees that they may all pass the Board Exam.

This will be immediately followed by a Send-off Ceremony to our board examinees. As a gesture of support and encouragement, distinguished alumni will be present to wish everyone success in the upcoming licensure exam.

Adamson University - Civil Engineering Department conducts Visiting Professor Lecture Series 2023. 🇵🇭🇻🇳

Dr. Vu Truong Vu, the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) in Vietnam, visited Adamson University as Visiting Professor. He delivered a series of lectures on the topic of "Modern Optimization Methods" to civil engineering students from September 18 to 22, 2023. Together with him is Dr. Quy Thue Nguyen, a faculty member at NTTU, and Mr. Cong Thanh Phan, a graduate student at NTTU. Dr. Quy Thue Nguyen also delivered a special lecture on "Structural Health Monitoring" last September 19. Civil engineering students and faculty members attended this lecture series. 🧑‍🏫👷🧑‍💻🏫

CE Faculty Members participate in an international conference in Taiwan. 🇹🇼

As part of CE Department's thrust towards internationalization, international linkages, and active engagement in research, CE faculty members participated in the 2023 International Conference on Environmental Quality Concern, Control and Conservation (EQC3 2023) last May 4-6, 2023 at the National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. CE Faculty Members presented 7 papers in Oral Presentation and 3 papers in the Poster Presentation.

Engr. Jerome Jordan Famadico, Engr. Crispin Lictaoa and Engr. Mark Francis Falguera served as Session Chairs in some of the parallel sessions during the conference. Meanwhile, Engr. Karen Galoso was awarded as one of the Best Presenters. Congratulations! 👏👏👏
