UNIVERSITY ADVISORY

In compliance with the announcement of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso and upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), the University of Manila announces the suspension of all afternoon face-to-face classes, all levels, effective 12:00 noon today, Monday, August 17, 2026, due to continuing inclement weather brought about by the southwest monsoon.

Students and faculty are advised to shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) for the rest of the day.

In accordance with the announcement of the Manila City Government, classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School (SHS) are suspended on Monday, August 17, 2026, due to the expected inclement weather brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Schools are advised to shift to Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).

Students are kindly advised to coordinate with their respective teachers regarding ADM arrangements, schedules, and learning activities.

: Upon recommendation of the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (MCDRRMD), I am ordering the suspension of afternoon classes in all levels in public and private schools today, Thursday, August 13, 2026, due to continuing thunderstorm brought about by the habagat (southwest monsoon).

According to the MCDRRMD, thunderstorm conditions are ongoing as of this morning, with another expected this afternoon.

Schools are advised to shift to ADM or Alternative Delivery Mode.
