As of 11:00 PM, April 26, 2026, the ongoing fire at the Navotas Sanitary Landfill is causing haze across several parts of Metro Manila, including Navotas, Malabon, Valenzuela, Caloocan, Quezon City, Manila, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasay, Taguig, Parañaque, and Las Piñas.

CASmates, especially those residing in the affected areas, please take extra precautions.

🔹 Stay indoors and keep windows and doors closed
🔹 Wear a face mask if going outside
🔹 Avoid outdoor and strenuous activities
🔹 Drink plenty of water
🔹 Drive carefully due to low visibility
🔹 Seek medical attention if experiencing difficulty breathing or chest pain

CAS Takes the International Research Stage

The College of Arts and Sciences proudly congratulates Dr. Lourdes P. Jusay from the Psychology Department for presenting her research at The 12th Asian Conference on Education and International Development (ACEID2026), organized by the International Academic Forum (IAFOR).

The conference was held on March 22–27, 2026 at the Tokyo International Forum and Toshi Center Hotel, Tokyo, Japan, bringing together scholars and professionals from across the globe to share research and foster international collaboration.

Dr. Jusay presented their paper titled “Marital Obligations, Psychological Incapacity and Employee Performance: Basis for an Intervention Program,” offering valuable insights on the intersection of personal, psychological, and professional factors, and proposing an evidence-based approach for intervention in the workplace.

This achievement highlights the College’s strong commitment to research, global engagement, and academic excellence.

We celebrate this milestone and look forward to more impactful contributions from our CAS faculty.

Pursuant to Memorandum No. 015 – 2026 issued by the Office of the President, the modality of classes in both campuses on March 28–29, 2026 is hereby adjusted in accordance with institutional directives and academic requirements.

🔹 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲): All undergraduate and TCP classes will be conducted ONLINE.

🔹 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 (𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲): NSTP classes will proceed FACE-TO-FACE as scheduled due to examinations.

Faculty members are advised to follow the prescribed guidelines indicated in the memorandum.

The College of Arts and Sciences is looking for two (2) passionate and creative CAS students to join CAS Connect, the official Editorial Board of the College, as Content Writers!

About the Position
Content Writers will create engaging, relevant, and impactful written materials for the digital platforms of the College of Arts and Sciences. They will contribute to announcements, features, and promotional content under CAS Connect.

Estimated Work Hours
Flexible hours, depending on project needs and deadlines.

Eligibility
-Must be a current student of the College of Arts and Sciences
-Strong writing and communication skills
-Creative, responsible, and able to meet deadlines
