Maligayang 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 sa bawat Pilipinong nagdadala ng pamana ng Bataan sa kanilang puso. Today, we pause to honor the unimaginable sacrifices our heroes made, remembering the enduring strength of the Filipino spirit when faced with the darkest of times.

We hold onto the truth that 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗻. But true freedom should mean more than just surviving. Honoring their ultimate sacrifice means fiercely protecting the dignity of the Filipinos living today.

When jeepney drivers are starved of their livelihood due to soaring oil prices, and when ordinary commuters lose hours of their lives just trying to endure a broken transport system, we fall short of the future our heroes envisioned for us. Resilience alone should never be an excuse for a government to fall short of its duty. Our people deserve better systems, support, and leadership that actually work.

Honoring our heroes means demanding better for the people they fought to protect, not just asking us to endure more.

Today we celebrate the end of "the end." The ultimate triumph. The greatest hope.

Ang Kaniyang kamatayan ay hindi ang wakas, kundi ang bagong simula para sa sangkatauhan. Ang sakripisyo niyang ito ay simbolo ng walang pag-iimbot na pagmamahal at pagpapatawad. Sa araw na ito, balutin natin ang ating mga puso ng katahimikan at taos-pusong pagsisisi sa mga kasalanang ating nagawa. Sa gitna ng ating pagdadalamhati, nawa'y matutunan natin ang magpatawad at buksan ang ating mga puso sa liwanag at pag-asa na iniwan Niya sa Kaniyang kamatayan.

This 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 is the perfect reminder that the silence of God does not mean the absence of God.
