The curtain closes as the seminar-workshop, entitled "Building Thinking Skills as the Goal of Teaching" concludes with this question, and with almost 150 participants leaving with new and applicable knowledge for their future learners.

The Faculty of Education and information Sciences through the Center for Reading and Literacy has successfully conducted a training session for student facilitators in preparation for a seminar-workshop, hosted by FEIS and CRL together with RS, FESSA, and STeLSe entitled "Building Thinking Skills as the Goal of Teaching", which will be carried out on March 6, 2023, led by Dr. Rowena Jimenez at AV Theater, Dagot Hall, from 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm.

Representing the goals of Pinoy Reading Buddies and heavily influenced by Harvard's Project Zero, Dr. Rowena's lecture will give you great insights regarding children's education, literacy, and reading. So make sure to mark your calendars, and don't miss it!

The Center of Reading and Literacy (CRL) and Pinoy Reading Buddies Inc. USA will be conducting a workshop entitled “Building Thinking Skills as the Goal of Teaching”. The workshop will be presented by Dr. Rowena Jimenez, Executive Director of Pinoy Reading Buddies Inc.

In line with the celebration of Literacy Week as stipulated in Presidential Proclamation No. 239, s. 1993 titled Declaring the Period from September 2 to 8 of Every Year as Literacy Week and DepEd Memorandum No. 072, s. 2019 titled Annual Celebration of the Literacy Week, the LCC is thrilled to announce a call for papers on literacy.

Under the theme, "Building a Culture of Literacy: The Power of Communities as Catalysts for Literacy Development," the Council invites you to share your research findings and policy recommendations on your topic of interest as contained in the poster below.
