It has come to our attention that there are several online scams targeting students recently. These scams can come in various forms, including fake job offers, scholarship opportunities, and phishing emails.

Here are a few tips to stay safe:

1. Verify the Source: Always check the authenticity of the website or email sender. Look for official domains and contact information.

2. Avoid Sharing Personal Information: Never share your personal details, such as bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or passwords, with unverified sources.

3. Be Skeptical of Too-Good-To-Be-True Offers: If an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. Research the company or opportunity thoroughly before taking any action.

4. Check for Secure Websites: Ensure the website starts with "https" and has a padlock icon in the address bar before entering any personal information.

5. Report Suspicious Activity: If you come across any suspicious emails, websites, or messages, report them to your school's IT department or the appropriate authorities immediately.

❕ Official payment transactions are done through either Post Mail and the Learning Management System (LMS). AU does not communicate with students via SMS regarding payment of tuition and other fees. If you receive suspicious message claiming otherwise, please report them directly to the Office for Student Affairs (OSA) or to your respective Deans’ Office and refer to our official channels for information.

Stay vigilant and protect yourself from these online threats. Share this message with your friends and classmates to spread awareness!

1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Old Students (Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors)
