Warm Greetings to Teatos and Teatas! We got more T.E.A.S. to spill🤩 Last week, we spilled about Media and Information Literacy and for this week's T.E.A.S., we are going to spill more about Media and Information Literacy and its importance in our lives.

The Tea Sisteas made a logo symbolizing the importance of Media and Information Literacy. The following are the elements present within our logo as well as short explanations:

Lock
- This element symbolizes the importance of safety, protection, and security when it comes to media. Though various platforms within media is useful, there are also some sites which may become threats if not taken care of. Issues such as phishing, copyright infringement, plagiarism, and many more are very common in famous sites which is why it is important to have knowledge when it comes to seeing through fake sites and frauds. Having a social media platform means that you should be responsible with what you click or post. Also, this symbolizes as digital divide as the access of developing countries and developed countries are unequal in terms of or knowledge of ICT.

Wires
-The wires and chords present within our logo is comparable to a motherboard's connectors. The main symbolism of this element is to show the "Connection" aspect of media. Media, especially mass media, focuses on sharing information throughout various communities. This information can both be beneficial or not depending on the intention of the person posting it. There are two colors of wires being red and yellow which will be further explained below.

Yellow
- The yellow color shows the product of imagination of the user of internet, it also symbolizes the idealism that were built through interactions made in it, which make us an intelligent user of media/internet and gives us joy.

Red
- But it is not always rainbows and unicorns, as internet can give us the danger as well, this is where we apply the color red. Just like any other things there is also harm in the beauty and joy of the internet, the red symbolizes the danger that the internet haves when we are using it on the wrong way, this would lead us to exposure to different kinds of danger such as hacking, explicitly content and viruses which would destroy not just our internet but also our media devices as well.

Blue
- Blue on the other hand, can mean professionalism and trust, as the age of internet keeps on improving, the level of abilities to use the internet went massive. Through the internet we can now communicate with our profession, through emails, social media, and video meeting. We can easily finish important stuff whether it’s for school or work, internet and media can help us. Thus, with trust, as we scan through our profession or personal affairs, despite the dangers we may encounter we can also rely on trusting the internet to protect us from the danger it cost as antiviruses and digital securities exist.

That's it for this week! We hope that you were able to carefully sip our T.E.A.S. and feel free to share your thoughts about our topic by spilling your insights in our comment section below
