Capping this year's conference is the launch of Felice Prudente Sta. Maria's "When Mangoes and Olives Met at the Philippine Table" published by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.

During the event, Sta. Maria donated a copy of her book to the Celso Al Carunungan Memorial Library of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, the host of this year's Manila Conference.

Second and last day of the conference concluded with presentations on Manila's lost wetlands, sari-sari stores, and Philippine food

As part of her talk, the Manila Studies Association will also play host to the book relaunch of "When Mangoes & Olives Met at the Philippine Table" by one of our speakers, and esteemed food historian — Felice Prudente Sta. Maria.

The book was published by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and was first launched on 29 October 2025 at the NHCP Central Office in Manila.

The book will be available for sale during the conference.

In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month (MGM) 2025, the Museo ng Muntinlupa, in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), proudly presents “𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒐 𝒂𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒂𝒏: 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒔, 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔.” This will took place on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟳, 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, at the museum's 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺.

Museums are more than repositories of artifacts. They are storytellers, educators, and keepers of cultural memory. This one-day 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 aims to introduce young Muntinlupeños to the world of museum work, inspiring them to see museums as spaces for creativity, learning, and community engagement.

💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁:
Participants will engage in fun and interactive sessions on museum ethics, interpretation, and collections management. The workshop will feature hands-on activities like storytelling and caption-writing challenges, object handling demos, and curating mini exhibits which offers an exciting, immersive experience in the world of heritage and culture.
