No musician grows alone. 🩷💜💚

Behind every performance is a story of consistency, mentorship, teamwork, and a community that chooses to believe in the next generation.

In this conversation, we had quick talks with members of the Streets to Strings Program to talk about the journey behind the recital. From making the most of limited rehearsal time, to learning from mentors, to experiencing the joy of finally stepping on stage, every perspective reminded us that growth is never achieved alone.

We’re grateful to continue supporting initiatives that make music more accessible and create opportunities for young musicians to learn, perform, and grow. Seeing these students develop through discipline, guidance, and shared passion is a reminder of why communities like this matter.

Because the greatest performances aren’t built in a single concert. They’re built by people who continue to show up for one another.

The stage isn’t asking you to be perfect. It’s asking you to be present. 🩷💜💚

Before the Streets to Strings Program took the stage, we asked Ma’am Liezel, Head Teacher of the STSP, what advice she gives her students before every performance.

Her answer was simple: breathe, don’t rush, trust your preparation, and enjoy the moment.

A recital isn’t about playing every note without mistakes. It’s about sharing the music you’ve worked so hard to learn.

The nerves will always be there. The courage is choosing to play anyway.

The music ends. The discipline doesn’t. 💚🩷💜

Before the Strings to Streets Program took the stage, we asked Ma’am Hannah, conductor of STS, what she hoped her students would remember after the concert.

Her answer was simple: tiyaga, disiplina, at pagsisikap.

She hopes the confidence they earned on stage becomes something they carry beyond the concert hall. Into their classrooms, their homes, and every challenge they face in life.

Because the lessons music teaches are meant to be lived long after the final note.

Every performance tells a story of countless hours of practice, patience, and perseverance.

It was a privilege to witness the young musicians of the Streets to Strings Program take the stage for “On Beat!” Their passion, dedication, and confidence were evident in every performance, made possible through the guidance of their mentors and the unwavering support of their families and community.

Congratulations to every student, teacher, volunteer, and organizer who made this concert possible. Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful afternoon celebrating music and the community it brings together.
