ENTREPRENEURSHIP: BUSINESS PLAN, DEFINITION AND IMPORTANCE (Explained in Taglish by Sir RDS)

Anong plano mo pagka-graduate mo ng Senior High School? Anong gagawin natin, nalaman na nila mommy and daddy na in a relationship tayo? (ayiiiee pabebe haha) Anong plano natin kapag nakuha na natin yung refund natin sa scholarship? (Beke nemen) Anong plano mo kapag natanggap ka sa bahay ni Kuya? Anong plano mo kapag tumama ka sa lotto? (Tumaya ka muna ui!)

Ano nga ba? Ano ang sagot mo sa mga tanong sa itaas? Wala pa? Ako din wala pa eh kasi ang mga tanong sa itaas ay hindi pa nangyayari o mangayayar pa lang. Bahala na ba? Paano kung maganap nga talaga ang mga events na iyon sa ating buhay? Handa ka ba?

Mahalaga ang pagpplano. Sabi nga ni Benjamin Franklin, “if you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” Alam naman natin na ang pagtahak sa mundo ng pagnenegosyo ay puno ng uncertainties at risk. Maraming hindi sigurado, maraming kaakibat na losses kapag hindi napaghandaan. Kaya mahalagang importante na mag-plano para anu at anuman ang maganap handa ang negosyo mo. By doing that, calculated na ang risk na maaari mong kaharapin.

A business plan is a formal written description of your business future by defining your goals, strategies to meet the goals, and the timeframe for the achievement of those goals.

Kung yung mga engineer na magtatayo ng mga tulay, building at at iba pang infrastructure ay may floor plan na sinusunod, at yung mga coache ng mga sports ay may game pla, at yung mga chef ay may leche pla (joke yun) ang mga businessman na kagaya mo ay may tinatawag na business plan. Ang business plan ay ppag-aaral kung saan naka detalye kung paano mo itatayo ang iyong negosyo at ang mga pamamaraan kung paano ito mag-ooperate. Detalyado ito dahil lahat ng aspect ay ikino-consider tulad ng operations, marketing, human resources, finances at production.

Ano ano ba ang advantage ng pagkakaroon ng business plan?

Nakakaexcite magtayo ng business. Pangarap ito ng bawat isa dahil maraming benefits kapag mayroon kang sariling business kaysa sa empleyado ka. Ngunit, hindi porke naisip mo eh, agad agad ay gagawin mo na ito at itatayo. Maraming start-up businesses ang nalulugi dahil hindi pinag-aralan at pinag-isipan mabuti. Hindi din dahil maganda ang idea or concept mo ay dapat agad mo na ito i-execute, mas makakabuti kung pag-aaralan mo muna ang mga dapat i-consider sa itatayo mong negosyo.

1. Minimize or remove risk of losing money. Investment on poorly researched business that may result to financial instability should be avoided. You must see all sides of the venture before letting go of any resources. (Isa sa pinakamahalagang resources sa business ay ang capital or yung money, mahalaga sya kasi ginagamit mo sya for transactions tulad ng pagbili ng raw materials, pambayad sa mga expenses, pambili ng machines at lahat ng kailangan sa business. Minnsan nga inutang mol ang sya eh or inipon talaga para lang makapagtayo ng business. Kapag may business plan, makikita mo kung paano mo gagastusin ang puhunan mo. May tendency kasi tayo na magsatos natin ang pera sa mga hindi naman talaga kailangan o hindi pa kailangan. So kung may business plan ka, gagamitin mo lang ang pera mo sa kung ano ang dapat kasi nakasulat, naka-itemized kung ilan at para saan gagamitin. Wala yang pinagkaiba sa nag-grocery ka ng walang dalang listahan, ang mangyayari kung ano yung kailangan yun ang hindi mo nabili. haha

2. Avoid costly mistakes. Unplanned decisions may result to negative outcomes that may hurt the business. Bibili ka ba ng machine o mag-hire ng empleyado? Uupa ka ba ng space o bibili ng pwesto? Kanino ka bibili ng raw materials? Maraming decision na kailangan gawin in putting up your business at bawat desisyon ay mahalaga dahil may halaga na katumbas ang bawat isa.

3. Anticipate the financial requirements. Futuristic view of the increase or decrease of demand on the given product/service will prepare you in meeting business obligations. Included din kasi sa business plan ang estimation o projection ng mga gagastusin at kikitain. Ma-identify mo na kung ikaw ba ay malulugi muna sa unang taon at unti unting mag-grow sa mga susunod na taon. At base doon ay makakagawa ka ng mga decisions based sa lumalabas na data.

4. Organize the activities beforehand. Thinking in advance, you must look at the near and distant future. Contingency plans must be present for anticipated concerns that may arise. Di ba mnsan kapag natutulog tayo sa gabi nagiging futuristic tayo? Yung hindi pa naman talaga nangyayari eh iniisip na natin as if nagyayari na sya. Ganun din sa business planning, di pa man nangyayari ay iniisip na natin ang gagawin kung mangyari ito. Sabi ng asa Boy Scout, “Laging Handa”

5. Assess actual performance against set goals. Having a clear goal will help you achieve your target in terms of sales, revenues or even expenses. From the definition itself, nakapaloob din sa business plan ang mga targets and goals ng business mo, pwedeng targets in terms of sales, profits, and market share.

6. Apply for financing from lending institutions. There are cases that financial assistance from other people or organization is needed to start a business. A good business plan may encourage investors to entrust you their resources but remember to be wise whenever you are lending money and make sure to use the money for its intended purpose for the growth of the business. Hindi naman lahat kaya mong pondohan, kaya kailangan mo ng external sources tulad ng mga investors para maging ppartner mo. Isa sa mga paraan para makumbinsi mo sila ay ang pagkakaroon mo ng business plan. Hindi sapat na kakausapin mol ang sila without any proof or study na magiging successful ang business mo.

So iyan ay introduction pa lang para sa gagawin nating business plan sa susunod nating discussion. Kung mayroon kang tanong huwag mahiyang mag comment.
