In line with the preemptive measure being undertaken by the Department of Health (DOH) regarding the COVID-19, please be informed that the Alert System has been raised to Code Red Sub level 1 following confirmation of local transmission of the dreaded disease. Consequently, the Department of Education (DepEd) through its Memorandum No. 34, s.2020 has suspended the participation of all students and teachers from joining national and regional activities.
In this regard, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines hereby suspends all of its national and regional activities, as well as highly encourages the same in the local council level. The suspension shall remain in effect until further notice.
All concerned are however advised to continue doing their respective tasks in the preparations of future activities as scheduled and to refrain from early travel bookings or purchase of travel tickets.
All Scouts and Adult Leaders are reminded to take precautionary measures to avoid being infected by the virus by observing frequent hand washing, sanitizing by using alcohol, and follow proper coughing and sneezing etiquette.
