Sabornido, Education Supervisor II, Department of Education Region VII, whose support and encouragement further strengthened the University’s commitment to community engagement and service.

The CARES Exemplar Award highlights the vital role of community extension as one of the University’s trifocal functions alongside Instruction and Research. Through the collective efforts of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners, UCLM continues to create meaningful, responsive, and sustainable programs that empower communities and transform lives.

The 4𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, held at the UCLM Old AVR on May 29, 2026, was a meaningful celebration of excellence, leadership, and dedication. The event honored outstanding students who continue to inspire the university community through their 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚. Each recognition reflected academic excellence and the values of passion, integrity, and responsibility.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the introduction of the 1𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱, which recognized students who demonstrated outstanding research skills, innovation, and meaningful academic contributions. This new award emphasizes the importance of research in developing knowledge and creating positive impact within the academic community.

The program brought together students, faculty members, and university officers in a moment of pride, joy, and appreciation. It served as a reminder that true success is built on dedication, resilience, and a strong desire to serve and inspire others.

A truly meaningful and empowering day was held last Saturday, May 16, 2026, during our 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀, where participants were equipped with essential knowledge on financial literacy, responsible saving, and wise investment tools that help build a more secure and purposeful future.
