Mandaue Christian School

Mandaue Christian School MCSI is committed to transform learners holistically to become Christlike servant-leaders and individuals in the communities. Mandaue Christian School Inc.

was founded in 1984 as a church-owned school of Mandaue City Baptist Church Inc. (MCBC). It began with a class of only 18 pre-school children whose ages ranged from 3-6 years old. The number of children steadily increased each year. In 1995, there were 375 pre-school learners and six teachers, and MCSI was then considered the largest pre-school in Cebu in terms of population. MCS was registered at

the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on November 15, 1989. A permit to operate was granted by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS) in June 1985. Although MCS only had four big classrooms and two play areas, it held 14 classes per day, with three sets of children using one room daily. MCSI became a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) in 1991. In 1995, Grades 1-4 were accommodated in MCBC’s new two-storey church-school building. The MCS population skyrocketed from 375 to 670 learners for school year 1996-1997. In May 31, 2001, the pre-elementary and elementary departments were given government recognition by the Department of Education. The high school department was established in 2005 with 67 students for 1st and 2nd year levels only. Government recognition was granted by the Department of Education to the high school department in May 2007. MCSI was accepted as a member by the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities (AASCU) in 2010 and accredited by Fund Assistance to Private Education (FAPE) in 2011.

🌱 FEATURE FRIDAY: THRIVING WITH PURPOSE✨

From adjusting to a new school environment to graduating with High Honors, Jardiolyn Ibale’s MCSI journey is a beautiful testimony of what happens when we choose to step beyond our comfort zones, embrace opportunities, and trust that God has more in store for us. 💙

At MCSI, Jardiolyn discovered that she was capable of more. Through experiences such as joining a quiz bee, becoming a webinar speaker, and taking on challenges she once never imagined herself doing, she learned to grow in confidence, curiosity, and courage.

More importantly, she carries with her the Christlike values of patience, compassion, and genuine love for others—values that will beautifully shape her as she begins her journey as a teacher. 📚🍎

🌱 As you continue to THRIVE, Jardiolyn, may you remember that your greatest achievement is not only what you accomplish, but how God can use your life to influence and bless others. May you inspire your students to discover their God-given potential, just as others once encouraged you to discover yours.

Congratulations, Jardiolyn! 🎉🎓We celebrate your achievement and pray that the Lord will continue to THRIVE through you as you step into your calling as an educator. May you teach with wisdom, lead with compassion, serve with humility, and become a Christlike blessing to every student entrusted to your care.** 🙏💙

Throwback Thursday: BGB Sports Fest 2025 🏆
by: SSG

I can't believe it's been a year already. 🥹

BGB Sports Fest 2025 was a day to remember. We cheered loud, played hard, and laughed a lot. Some games were close, some were easy, but all were exciting. We gave our best in every match.

It was never just about winning. It was about our teammates cheering for us. It was about saying hi to the other team after the game. It was about the snacks, the jokes, and the happy moments. 💙

We thank the Lord for letting us join. He gave us good health and happy hearts to play. He blessed us with friends and a school that cares for us. 🙏

The best part of the fest wasn't the trophy. It was being together.

This week, may we THRIVE by:
🌿 Trusting God in every situation
❤️ Honoring Christ through our words and actions

🌟 Giving our best in all that we do

As a Christ-centered community, may our classrooms, workplaces, relationships, and daily lives become expressions of thanksgiving and praise to God. 🙏

🌱✨ FEATURE FRIDAY: A Journey of Faith, Leadership, and Compassion✨🌱

Looking back on her journey, Kareen Louise A. Aquitan realized that her greatest achievements were not simply the medals, certificates, and academic honors she received, but the lessons learned, strength gained, and Christlike character developed along the way. 💙

At MCSI, Kareen was encouraged to THRIVE—not only academically, but also in character, relationships, leadership, and faith. 🌱 Through school activities, the dance team, Tribes, camps, leadership opportunities, and meaningful friendships, she learned to step beyond her comfort zone and grow alongside others. 🤝

Her experience representing MCSI at the ACSI Student Leadership Conference in Tacloban became a significant part of her journey. It taught her to communicate effectively, adapt to new environments, and connect with people from different backgrounds. These lessons continue to shape her journey in nursing, where knowledge and excellence must be matched with genuine compassion and care. 🩺❤️

Kareen reminds us that THRIVING is more than achieving—it is growing in Christlike character, using our gifts to serve others, and faithfully pursuing God’s calling.🙏🏻✨

🎉Congratulations, Kareen!🎉
MCSI celebrates the woman and servant-leader you have become! As you step into your next journey, may you continue to THRIVE where God plants you, lead with compassion, and touch lives through your God-given calling. 🌱🩺💙

A moment to worship, enjoy God’s Word, and fellowship with friends and classmates.

Even in a short while, Chapel Hour gives us the opportunity to pause, praise, listen, and grow together. It is a fellowship that nurtures not only the learners’ minds but also their spiritual lives. 💙

May every gathering bring us closer to God and encourage our learners to live out His Word each day. 🙏

🔥BGB LEAD CAMP 2026: THRIVE AS CHRISTLIKE LEADERS!** 🌱

From August 6–8, 2026, 13 of our learners embarked on an unforgettable 3-day leadership adventure at Genesis Valley, Consolacion, together with fellow Christian schools. The BGB LEAD Camp brought together 13 schools for a meaningful time of learning, fellowship, challenge, and growth.

Throughout the camp, our learners participated in impactful sessions on Leading Like Christ, Exemplifying Integrity , Acting with Purpose, and Discipling Others. ✝️❤️ They were reminded that true leadership is not about being above others, but about serving, influencing, and helping others grow in Christ.

💪 Skills Stations put their teamwork, discipline, and practical skills to the test as they learned compass reading, fire starting and egg cooking, bandaging and carries, and knot tying.

🤝 Beyond the challenges, there were also wonderful opportunities to build friendships and create lasting memories through dynamic games, a cozy bonfire with s’mores, and a refreshing pool session on the final day!

We are incredibly proud of our learners for embracing every challenge with courage and determination! 👏🎉 May this experience inspire them to THRIVE—not only as learners, but as Christlike leaders who lead by example, serve with humility, and encourage their fellow learners to grow.** 🌱✝️

Keep THRIVING, BGB LEADERS! 💚 Lead with purpose. Serve with integrity. Influence others for Christ. 🙏✨

🌱✨ MOTIVATION MONDAY | THRIVE BY HONORING CHRIST

As we begin a new week, may we remember that when we honor others, we honor Christ. 🙏✝️

In our Christian school community, let us THRIVE by showing Christ’s love through humility, kindness, respect, and selfless service. 🤝❤️ Whether in the classroom, workplace, at home, or in our community, may our words and actions point others to Jesus.

🌿 To honor Christ is to live in a way that reflects Him. 💕

💭 Reflection: How can I honor Christ through the way I treat others today?
