LENTEN RECOLLECTION 2026 | In preparation for the Holy Week celebrations, the Pope John Paul II Achievement and Learning Center gathered its students, together with their parents or guardians and faculty, for a Lenten Recollection.

In this simple yet meaningful encounter, the community was reminded that formation goes beyond academics. It is also a journey of faith, conversion, and love.

The day capped off with the celebration of the Holy Mass, presided over by Fr. Moenil Lapa.

We pray for the students, that even at a young age, they may begin to cultivate a deep and personal relationship with God—growing in humility, compassion, and a sincere desire to follow His will in their daily lives.

CHECKPOINT 2026 | With jubilation and vibrant enthusiasm, the Pope John Paul II Achievement and Learning Center successfully mounted Checkpoint 2026 at SM City Consolacion.

The annual showcase served as a dynamic platform for learners to step into the spotlight, reveal their unique gifts, and courageously engage the crowd.

More than a presentation of skills, the event highlighted the school’s commitment to forming confident, expressive, and empowered individuals ready to face the world.

In a spirit of gratitude, the community extends its heartfelt thanks to the administrators, personnel, parents, and benefactors whose unwavering support continues to make initiatives like this possible.

FIRST COMMUNION | Grade 3 and 4 pupils of Pope John Paul II Achievement and Learning Center took a meaningful step in their faith journey by receiving the grace of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion in a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Moenil Lapa.

Through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, they encountered God’s boundless mercy—learning, at an early age, the beauty of humility, accountability, and forgiveness.

In receiving Holy Communion, they were united more deeply with Christ, nourished by His Body and Blood, and strengthened to live out the Gospel in their daily lives.

The celebration became a profound testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education—affirming that true learning transcends textbooks and classrooms, and that faith formation, character building, and academic excellence flourish together, hand in hand.

PRAYER | Loving and Merciful Father,
we come before You in this moment of trial, lifting up to You all our brothers and sisters affected by the recent earthquake. We pray for their safety and protection. Comfort the fearful, strengthen the weary, and surround the injured and displaced with Your tender care.

We offer special intentions for the churches in northern Cebu that have been destroyed. These sacred spaces have long been places of prayer, hope, and refuge. May they rise again as signs of Your enduring presence among us. Inspire the generosity of hearts and hands to help rebuild what was lost.

May this tragedy awaken in us a deeper sense of solidarity, compassion, and faith in Your providence. Amen.
