As one grateful family, the CIC-Mandaue community gathered for the year-end thanksgiving celebration last April 22–23 at Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark, Cebu, a joyful moment of honoring the invaluable contributions of every faculty and staff.

It was a celebration filled with laughter, games, music, singing, and dancing – where joy overflowed and hearts were renewed. More than the activities, what made it truly memorable was the gift of togetherness: spending meaningful time as one community, united in gratitude and joy.

In the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, we recognize that every act of service, big or small, has helped shape our mission and strengthen our school family.

Thank you for another year of dedication, love, and shared commitment. Truly, all is grace.

𝑫𝒆𝒐 𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒔!

𝐃𝐞𝐨 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐬 l 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭

We give thanks for the remarkable journey of 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐳, who dedicated 37 years of faithful service to the CIC-Mandaue community.

In the true Vincentian spirit, 𝑲𝒖𝒚𝒂 𝑨𝒍𝒂𝒏 reminds us that meaningful service is lived with humility, perseverance, and love. As you begin a new chapter, we honor and thank you for your years of dedicated service and the example you leave behind.

𝐀 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞: 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐈𝐂-𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐋𝐚𝐌𝐏𝐬)

Day 2 of the retreat focused on finding the grace to move beyond struggles, anchored in the belief that 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬. It affirmed that as educators, we are called to become instruments of hope in our school community.

The retreat culminated in the celebration of the Holy Mass.

It was a much-needed pause – an opportunity to step away from the demands of work, deepen one’s encounter with the Lord, and strengthen bonds within the community.

In the Vincentian way, it was a grace-filled time to look back with grateful hearts, recognize Christ in one another, and move forward with renewed zeal and a deeper commitment to serve.

𝐀 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞-𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞: 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫-𝐄𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐈𝐂-𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐮𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐋𝐚𝐌𝐏𝐬)

Last April 21–22, 2026, the LaMPs or faculty and staff of CIC-Mandaue, Inc. gathered for their year-end retreat at St. Francis Seraph Retreat House in Maghaway, Talisay, Cebu.

A key part of Day 1 of the retreat was the integration session, where participants shared and processed what they had witnessed and felt during the immersion-exposure. This helped them better understand the realities of those they served and see more deeply how God was present in those encounters.

𝐀𝐧 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 | 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞

Last April 20, the Lay Mission Partners (faculty and staff) of CIC-Mandaue, Inc. stepped beyond the comforts of their homes and offices for a 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒂𝒏 𝒊𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏-𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚.

It was a reminder that the mission of Vincentians is lived through meeting and serving those in need.

One group visited the children at 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚, another spent time with the children of 𝐒𝐎𝐒 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞, while the third group visited families in 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐚, 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 who were affected by Typhoon Tino.

Regardless of the number of years we have been in CIC-Mandaue, this experience remains the same for everyone - it opens hearts, deepens gratitude, and continues to form every faculty and staff member to be more loving, humble, and kind to all, keeping the Vincentian charism alive both then and now.
