LNHS earns National wins in 19th Word Cup Philippines
Labogon National High School (LNHS) won in 4 different categories in 19th Word Cup Philippines on April 23, 2022 which was announced via YouTube Livestream.
The winners are Ferrylen F. Botilla (Honorable Mention in English Copyreading and Headline Writing); Qharissema A. Tenampay (1st Place in Filipino Copyreading and Headline Writing); Jamella M. Mondares (2nd Place in Filipino SciTech Writing); and Irish D. Limpiado (3rd Place in Filipino News Writing).
βI'm very overwhelmed with the performance of the campus journalists. Thank you Lord for another blessings received," said Mrs. Dorothy C. Seno, School Paper Coordinator.
"Congratulations and keep the flame in responsible writing. I am very proud of you," said Mr. Fernando V. Ylaya, the School Principal.
The 19th Word Cup Philippines was held via Facebook and Youtube Livestream and GoTo Meeting last March 26 to 27, 2022.

Humakot ng parangal ang mga mamamahayag ng Labogon National High School (LNHS) sa ginanap na Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) noong Abril 19-21,2022 sa Mandaue City Central School.

Kabataang manunulat ng LNHS, sumasabak sa 19th Word Cup
Laping-apat na manunulat mula sa Labogon National High School (LNHS) ang sumabak sa 19th Word Cup Philippines noong Marso 26-27, 2022 na ginanap via Facebook at YouTube Live, GoTo Meeting at Zoom Video Conference.
Lumahok sina Qharissema Tenampay, Ferrylen F. Botilla, Almera Delos Reyes, Fate Aicon Botilla, Jerian Poster, Gilmar Obiso, Irish Limpiado, Honey Shane Tein, Claire Joy Fatima, Jamella Mondares, Sweet Regine Gulay, Marie Pepito, Jenyfer Ramirez, at Vince Edward Blaya, mga mag-aaral mula sa ika-walo hanggang ika-labing dalawang baitang, na may gabay ni Gng. Dorothy C. Seno, School Paper Adviser ng LNHS.
Isang Opening Program ang naganap sa unang araw ng patimpalak na pinangunahan ni G. Eugenio Sonny O. Calapit, ED.D.,LPT.,EN.P., Executive Director ng Edcalibre International.
Sumunod naman ang Press Conference na may paksang "Prospects for the Education Sector in Light of the Pandemic and Economic Crisis," na kung saan iminungkahi ng dalawang partido, Koop Kampi Partylist, na pinamunuan ni Chrissan D. Bravo, Partylist Representative at 1-Ang Edukasyon Partylist, na pinamunuan ni Hon. Atty. Salvador Belaro Jr. , Partylist Former-Representative, ang kani-kanilang mga plataporma.
Tinapos ang nasabing pagpupulong sa isang pangwakas na pahayag ni G. Calapit.
Mahigit kumulang 800 na mga kabataang manunulat at SPAs mula sa iba't-ibang parte ng Pilipinas ang lumahok sa 19th Word Cup.
Taon-taong ginaganap ang Word Cup Forum sa pamumuno ng EdCalibre International. Ito ang ikalawang beses na lumahok ang LNHS sa nasabing patimpalak at pangalawang beses na sa isang birtual format ito ginanap bilang pagsunod sa new normal set-up.

Labogon NHS launches BAYLO-ANAY 'TA Project
Labogon National High School Disaster Risk Reduction Management Team (LNHS- DRRM) started the BAYLO-ANAY 'TA Project on March 10, 2022 at Labogon NHS Gymnasium.
According to Mr. Virgil Lumapay, Project Owner and LNHS- DRRM member, this project aims to exchange the trash into school supplies and grocery items.
"This project was started by Mark Carlo Seno during the United Nations International Children's Fund (UNICEF) program so it started with the trash to treasure program and then the school decided na it is very good for the students so we decided to create another program na the same concept with the trash to treasure program but in this time this is huge program it's not more on giving lang but also promoting eco-friendly and also advocate we will be advocating recycling, reducing, garbage in the school and hopefully extending it to the community" Mr. Lumapay said.
"Kung molapas nag duha ka kilo, pwede mo makakuha og grocery, pero kung ubos siya sa two kilos, educational supply," Mr. Mark Carlo M. Seno, the LNHS- DRRM Coordinator
"Let us always remember that we need to help, that we need care for the environment kay this is our home. Our earth is our home, and we need to take good care of it, and always remember nga sa Labogon National High School ang mga bata, may paglaom," said Dr. Bella Verda Oliveros, LNHS Head Teacher on her closing remarks.

PAGDARAOS NG UNITED NATIONS MONTH 2021 ITINATAGUYOD NG LNHS

Taon-taon ay ginugunita ang selebrasyon para sa 'United Nations Month' tuwing Oktubre 24 sa iba't- ibang bansa. Habang ang mundo ay unti-unting nagsisimulang makabawi mula sa pandemya, ang tema para sa taong ito ay kumakatawan sa isang panawagan na palakasin ang kooperasyong internasyonal para sa interes ng kapwa mga bansa at mga tao, para sa isang mas mapayapa at maunlad na hinaharap para sa lahat.
Kaya naman, itinampok ng Labogon National High School (LNHS) ang pagdiriwang para sa 'United Nations Month 2021,' na may kaukulang tema na "Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world." Ang aktibidad na ito ay ginanap noong Oktubre 19, via Google meet at Facebook live.
Sa programang ito ay naging pangunahing tagapagsalita si Gng. Maryland Catarata, AP teacher, na siyang naglahad sa kabuuang daloy nitong selebrasyon.
Samantala, pormal na sinimulan ang programa sa pamamagitan ng isang panalangin na sinundan ng pag-awit sa 'Philippine National Anthem.' Ibinahagi naman ni Gng. Mariterr Jumao-as, AP master teacher , ang kanyang pambungad na pahayag para sa selebrasyon. Nag-alay din ng kani-kanilang mensahe sina Mr. Fernando Ylaya (School Principal III) , Dr. Rogelio Garbo (PSDS-North District Secondary), at Dr. Giovanna RaffiΓ±an (EPSvr in Araling Panlipunan).
Sa kabilang banda, inilahad naman ni Gng. NiΓ±a Tapan, AP Coordinator, ang mga aktibidad para sa naturang selebrasyon. Ito ay binubuo ng 'Kasaysayan sa Kapanganakan' , 'Flag Making' at para sa pagtatapos ay paghahandog ng 'Living Rosary.'
Ayon kay Gng.Tapan, ang mga aktibidad na nailatag ay bahagi ng gawaing pagganap ng mga estudyante sa Araling Panlipunan. Lahat ng mag-aaral ay inaanyayahan na makisali sa mga nasabing aktibidad. Inaasahang nakatuon sa mekaniko ang mga outputs na ipapasa at sa iskedyul ng pagpapasa ( Oktubre 21- grade 7 to grade 9 at Oktubre 22 - grade 10 to grade 12).
Ayon sa pahayag ni Dr. Bella Verda Oliveros, head teacher ng LNHS, sa paggaling ng mundo para sa mas mahusay, patas at napapanatiling mundo, kailangan nito ng tulong at pagkakaisa para sa pag-unlad.
Sa pagtatapos naman ng programa ay nagkaroon ng 'community singing' sa kantang "We are the World" na sinabayan ng mga mag-aaral, g**o, punong g**o at lahat ng dumalo sa programang ito ng LNHS.
Inaanyayahan ang lahat na sumali sa isang bansang nagkakaisa habang nakatuon sa mas mahusay na paggaling para sa isang mas makatarungan at mapayapang mundo. Ipagdiwang ang kapayapaan sa pamamagitan ng paninindigan upang mas mapalaganap ang kabaitan, at pag-asa sa harap ng pandemya.

LNHS joins NSPC 2021
LNHS journalists trains for DSPC

Labogon National High School (LNHS) campus journalists conditioned their selves for the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) last April 22-23, 2021 via Google Meet.
Mrs. Dorothy Seno, School Paper Adviser, assembled the students to prepare for the approaching DSPC which would be held tentatively on the month of May. She gave soft copies to the journalists for them to study and sharpen their skills on writing in their own fields.
Mrs. Seno also assigned the campus journalists to write articles in their own categories which are to be passed on April 26-28, 2021.
The categories included on the press con are the following: News Writing - English and Filipino; Feature Writing - English and Filipino; Editorial Writing - English and Filipino; Editorial Cartooning - English and Filipino; Copy Editing and Headline Writing - English and Filipino; Science Writing - English and Filipino; Sports Writing - English and Filipino; and Photojournalism - English and Filipino for the individual categories. The group categories include: Radio Broadcasting - English and Filipino; TV Newscasting - English and Filipino; Collaborative Publishing - English and Filipino; and Online Publishing - English and Filipino.
The winners for this contest will advance on Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) held on the month of June and National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) on the month of July.
LNHS screens campus journalists

Labogon National High School (LNHS) recruited campus journalists for the upcoming contests through LNHS School Paper Screening held last March 25, 2021 via Google Meet.
Mrs. Dorothy Seno, the school paper adviser gathered the current campus journalists and the new recruits from grades 8-12 to plan on who is going to take place for the vacant spots which are: Feature Writing English; Science Writing both Filipino and English; and Photojournalism English for the individual categories and Sports writer and Showbiz News reporter for Filipino Broadcasting; International News reporter and Showbiz News reporter for English Broadcasting; Field reporter for English TV Newscasting; Sports writer for Filipino Collapublishing; Sports writer and Feature writer for English Collapublishing; Layout artist and Sports writer for Filipino Online Publishing; News writer, Editorial writer, Feature writer, Sports writer, Photojournalist, and Layout artist for English Online Publishing for the group categories.
The recruitment is due to the upcoming Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) on the month of May, Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) on the month of June, and National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) on the month of July.
LNHS holds PMEA second quarter

Labogon National High School (LNHS) initiated a Performance Monitoring Evaluation and Adjustment (PMEA) Conference for the second quarter of school year 2020-2021 last March 24, 2021 via Google Meet.
Mr. Fernando V. Ylaya, school principal, discussed the following performances of the school to identify which areas of learning are to be improved: Number of enrollees which increased from 1,874 on the end of school year 2019-2020 to 2,126 on the beginning of school year 2020-2021; Mean Percentage Score (MPS) for Junior High School (JHS) which increased from 74.32 on the first grading to 76.19 on the second grading by 2.07% and MPS of Senior High School (SHS) which decreased from 78.57 on the first grading to 78.50 on the second grading by 0.07%; Overall General Scholastic Average (GSA) which decreased from 85.23 on the first grading to 85.02 on the second grading by 0.21%; Failure rate of JHS which decreased from 115 on the first grading to 0 on the second grading and Failure rate of SHS which remained the same by 0; Learners At Risk of Dropping-Out (LARDOs) of JHS which increased from 5 on the first grafing to 18 on the second grading and LARDOs of SHS which increased from 1 from the first grading to 58 on the second grading; and Drop-out rate of JHS which decreased from 6 on the first grading to 0 on the second grading and Drop-out rate of SHS which increased from 0 on the first grading to 2 on the second grading.
The principal then discussed the Concerns, Issues, Gaps, Problems and Solutions (CGIPs) for the second rating which involved the students, teachers and parents.
Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Rogelio Garbo was also present during the assembly.
