𝐔𝐂𝐋𝐌 𝐂𝐇𝐓𝐌 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬—𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐰 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐚

The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) of the University of Cebu-Lapulapu and Mandaue (UCLM) won awards at the Cebu Lakbay Lingaw 2024 - Mangaon Ta! held from September 13 to 15, 2024, at GMall Cebu Atrium. The event featured competitions in Bedmaking and Bartending, with participants from various universities and professionals from local hotels.

UCLM’s CHTM students excelled in both categories. Clem Angelo Lumayno earned second place in the Bedmaking competition, under the guidance of coaches Ms. Irene Osorno and Dr. Regie Gabunada. In the Flair Bartending competition, Brian Solamillo took first place in the GSM Blue Light Gin category, while Mr. Angelo Delostrico secured second place in the Antonov Vodka category, both coached by Dr. Raphael Bachanicha.

UNIVERSITY ADVISORY| Pursuant to Mandaue City's declaration due to poor weather conditions, all levels at the University of Cebu - Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue [Preschool, Elementary, High School (JHS/SHS), and College] will not hold face-to-face classes tomorrow, September 16, 2024.

All classes will revert to online mode via LMS (Canvas).

As for office personnel, please await further advice regarding work schedules.

We are pleased to share that the orientation for our first-year college students was conducted successfully at the BE Function Hall on August 27, 2024. This important event provided our new students with a comprehensive overview of university life and essential information to support their academic journey.

The orientation program included detailed briefings on academic policies, campus resources, and student services, ensuring that attendees are well-prepared for their studies. It was an opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the university environment and begin to integrate into the UCLM community.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all those who contributed to the organization and ex*****on of this event. Your efforts have been instrumental in providing a smooth transition for our incoming students.

We are excited to see our first-year students thrive and achieve their academic and personal goals. We are confident that their time at UCLM will be filled with growth, success, and enriching experiences!

HOLIDAY ADVISORY| In accordance with Proclamation No. 620 of the Office of the President of the Philippines dated July 1, 2024, declared August 30, 2024 (Friday), a Special Non-Working Holiday for the City of Mandaue will mark the celebration of its 55th Charter Anniversary.

Therefore, there will be "NO WORK, NO CLASSES" at University of Cebu - LapuLapu and Mandaue Campus and University of Cebu School of Medicine.
