The event committee is looking for five (5) student masseurs therapists to offer complimentary Head & Scalp Massage services to faculty and staff during the Teachers’ Day Celebration.

𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔:
• Preferred enrollment or certification in TESDA NC II Massage Therapy or related wellness courses.
• Ability to demonstrate basic head and scalp massage techniques effectively and safely.

There are dates that belong to calendars.

And there are dates that belong to the conscience of a nation.

September 21, 1972 is one of them.

On this day, then-President Ferdinand E. Marcos signed Proclamation No. 1081, placing the entire Philippines under Martial Law. What followed was not merely a change in government policy. It was a period in which thousands of Filipinos were arrested and detained, tortured, forcibly disappeared, and killed, while freedoms of speech, assembly, and the press were severely restricted.

Hindi ito simpleng pahina ng nakaraan. Hindi ito kuwento na dapat pagtakpan ng limot.

May mga buhay na nawala. May mga pamilyang naghintay. May mga tinig na pinatahimik.

At kung ang kasaysayan ay may itinuturo sa atin, ito ay ito: kapag hinayaan nating mabaon sa limot ang katotohanan, mas madaling maulit ang pang-aabuso.

Bilang kabataan, hindi sapat ang makaalam. Dapat tayong magtanong. Magsuri. Magsalita. Manindigan.

The DEBESMSCAT Supreme Student Council stands with the Filipino people in remembering the victims, honoring the survivors, and defending truth, human rights, democracy, and freedom.

So today, we remember—not to cultivate hatred, but to cultivate vigilance; not to glorify division, but to defend truth; not to remain prisoners of yesterday, but to ensure that tomorrow does not inherit the same wounds.

Never Again is a promise that no government should ever again be allowed to treat human dignity as expendable.

Never Forgotten is a promise that those who suffered will not be reduced to footnotes, figures, or forgotten names.

Because a nation that forgets its history risks becoming defenseless against its repetition.

And we, the Filipino youth, must refuse to be defenseless.

Hindi natin kailangang maging saksi noong 1972 upang maging tagapangalaga ng katotohanan ngayon.

We inherit the country that they fought to protect. We inherit the freedoms that others were imprisoned for demanding. We inherit the responsibility of making sure that the stories of those who suffered do not disappear beneath the noise of time.

May we remember with courage. May we learn with honesty. May we speak with conviction. And may we never allow fear, power, or convenience to make us forget what happened to our fellow Filipinos.

Fifty-four years have passed. The memory remains. The truth remains. And as long as Filipinos continue to remember, the silencing will never be complete.

NEVER FORGET. NEVER AGAIN. 🇵🇭

Yesterday marked a significant milestone as the newly elected student leaders officially took their solemn pledge during the 𝑪𝑩𝑶𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰𝑩𝑶𝒔 𝑶𝒂𝒕𝒉-𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒚 2026.

With hands raised and hearts dedicated to duty, the student leaders of the College-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Institution-Based Organizations (IBOs) embraced their responsibility to serve, lead, and elevate the student body. This solemn ceremony signifies not merely the assumption of title, but a commitment to integrity, excellence, and proactive leadership for the academic year.

Congratulations to all newly inducted officers! May your term be defined by transformative initiatives, unwavering unity, and purposeful service to the institution.

DEBESMSCAT JOINS HANDOG NG PANGULO PROGRAM IN MASBATE

HAPPENING NOW: The Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) joined the simultaneous implementation of the Handog ng Pangulo, Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat Program at the Capitol Grounds, Province of Masbate, on September 14, 2026.

The activity forms part of the celebration of the birthday of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., bringing government agencies and partner institutions together to showcase programs and services aimed at providing accessible assistance to the public.

Masbate Governor Hon. Ricardo “Richard” T. Kho led the opening program during the flag ceremony at the Provincial Capitol, highlighting the province’s participation in the nationwide celebration and service initiative.

DEBESMSCAT participated by showcasing its programs, services, products, accomplishments, and awards to the public. The institution also offered free counseling services as part of its efforts to extend direct and meaningful assistance to the community.

Among the guests who graced the activity were CHED Commissioner Hon. Desiderio R. Apag III, PCPE, D.Eng., Department of Energy Undersecretary Ronald V. Conquilla, and Department of Agrarian Reform Assistant Secretary James Arsenio O. Ponce, CESO III.

True to our commitment of putting the DEBESMSCAT studentry first, your Supreme Student Council (SSC) officially kicked off Academic Year 2026–2027 by hosting its 1st General Assembly yesterday, September 10, 2026, at the Campus Bleachers.
Divided into two sessions to give every college a platform to participate, the gathering brought together thousands of student voices under a shared vision of transparent governance and active involvement.
We extend our heartiest appreciation to everyone who joined us:

• Morning Session
College of Agriculture and Agroforestry (CAAf), College of Business, Tourism, and Economics (CBTE), and College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT).

• Afternoon Session
College of Education (CE), College of Engineering (CEng), and College of Industrial Technology (CIT).

• 🤝 Leadership Introduction: Formal presentation of your new set of SSC Officers led by Chairperson Hon. RP Reel O. Acosta, alongside SSC Adviser Madam Norie Ar M. Sola.

• 📊 Accountability & Financial Transparency: Detailed walkthrough of the previous year’s Accomplishment Report (AR) and Financial Report, followed by the unveiling of our current Accomplishment Report and the Calendar of Activity, Project, and Budget Essentials (CAPBE) to keep you informed on where your student funds and council initiatives go.

• 📜 Governance & Student Rights: In-depth presentation of the SSC Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) to ensure every student is aware of the council's guiding principles and student rights.

• 👟 Student Consultations: Showcase of the proposed Physical Activity towards Health and Fitness (PATHFIT) uniform design for student feedback and consideration.

• 🗣️ Open Forum & Interactive Engagement: A dedicated Q&A session where students directly voiced concerns, sought clarifications, and shared suggestions, complemented by an energetic trivia segment with exciting prizes.

This General Assembly was more than an event—it was a step forward in bridging the gap between student leadership and the student body. We heard your voices, we noted your concerns, and we are ready to turn your feedback into meaningful action.

And for this school year, these are the ones taking the reins.

The 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗦𝗦𝗖) stands as the 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗿. 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗕. 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮, 𝗦𝗿. 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (DEBESMSCAT), entrusted with representing the student body and carrying its voice where it needs to be heard.

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐈𝐋 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 — a group of students who have chosen to step forward, take on the responsibility, and serve the community that they are part of.

This year, we take the reins with no promise of a perfect road ahead, only the willingness to keep moving—to listen when voices need to be heard, to act when action is needed, and to lend a hand whenever the work calls for one.

There will be decisions to make, challenges to face, and plenty of moments that will ask more from us than a title ever could. And through all of it, we hope to lead not from a distance, but with purpose, with presence, and with a genuine heart for service.

After all, the best kind of leadership is not measured by how far ahead one rides, but by how many people you choose to bring along.

Still, we ride forward.

Not because the road is certain, but because the work is worth doing and the people we serve are worth showing up for.
