Tangent and Normal Lines (Optics)
A parabolic mirror is shaped according to a curve. A light ray traveling vertically downward hits the mirror at the point (2, 4). Find the equation of the tangent line at this point (representing the surface of the mirror) and find the equation of the normal line (the line perpendicular to the surface), which is used to calculate the angle of reflection.

In line with the official academic bulletin released by the Office of the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, midterm examinations have been rescheduled due to the anticipated transport strike.

• April 28, 2026 (Tuesday)
• April 29, 2026 (Wednesday)

Classes from April 21–23, 2026 will shift to online modalities.

All engineering students are advised to stay updated and coordinate with their respective instructors for further instructions.
