An estimated 200 college students residing in Barangay Highway Hills received educational assistance as part of the barangay’s continued support for students.
This program aims to provide financial aid to eligible beneficiaries, helping ease the burden of academic expenses and promote access to higher education within the community.

BARANGAY UPDATES | Kap. G. Abalos and Barangay Highway Hills bags two major awards at the 2026 Saludo Excellence Awards. Kap. G. received the Outstanding Humanitarian and Leadership Award for her work as a public servant. At the same time, Barangay Highway Hills won the award for Outstanding Barangay in Terms of Programs and Projects Implemented. This award recognizes the local government for creating useful and effective projects for its people.

In her statement, Kap. G. Abalos said she shares these awards with the Barangay Council, the SK, the barangay staff, and all the residents. She explained that winning was a concerted effort. She said they achieved these awards because the whole community worked together and showed unity.

She also took the time to thank her family for their support. She thanked her father, Chairman Ben Abalos, for mentoring her and guiding her career in politics. Lastly, she thanked her partner, Usec Atty. Elen Pasion, for her love and understanding.

These two awards prove that the barangay is doing its job well. Kap. G. Abalos and her team continue to serve their community through their main goal of .

To ensure a smooth and orderly distribution, please follow the schedule below based on the first letter of your surname:
• A – G: 10 :00 - 11:00AM
• H – Z: 11:00 - 12:00 PM

In compliance with data privacy regulations, personal names will not be disclosed. Kindly refer to the first letter of your family name for identification purposes. Thank you for your understanding.

It is open to students enrolled in a gov’t/local gov’t/state colleges and universities (public schools only) for this 2nd semester SY 2025 – 2026. You may submit the requirements on MARCH 16 -26.2026 from 9 am to 5pm (except. Sat. and Sun) at the new brgy hall (kagawad’s office), 430 Calbayog St.

Requirements:
3 clear copies of
- Enrollment form
- Grades from last semester
- Official receipt of tuition fee, misc fee, etc ( if there's any)
- Valid school ID
- 1pc 1x1 or 2x2 pic
