Every body is perfectly made.

Sharing a special interview where Teacher Archie reflects on Down syndrome advocacy and reacts to the heartfelt MMFF film “I’m Perfect.” Starring youth with Down syndrome, the movie beautifully reminds us that difference is never a limitation—but a gift.

Behind this film is a long, hope-filled journey. Years ago, the dream of I’m Perfect already lived in the hearts of many, including Andie Cruz, whose early involvement carried so much excitement, pride, and belief—belief that yes, he could. Though he is no longer with us, the spirit of that dream lives on. This film carries the same courage, joy, and quiet confidence he embodied, and he surely would have been proud to see it finally reach the screen.

We are also proud to see Angela Batallones, ILLC alumna, as part of the cast—adding her own light to a story that celebrates authenticity and heart.

This meaningful conversation highlights the power of representation, dignity, and seeing perfection beyond labels—made possible today through the dedication of those who chose to continue the story.

Sending love, hope, and joy this Christmas season.
Don’t forget to watch “I’m Perfect” and support stories that truly matter. 💛

The Philippine Disability Expo 2025, held on December 2–4 at SM Megamall Trade Halls 1–2, was a meaningful and inspiring experience for the ILLC family.

As one of the exhibitors, ILLC was proud to showcase and sell tote bags, gift tags, Christmas gift wrappers and more! These were made and designed by our students. Our Job Readiness Program students also participated by helping with the packaging and selling of other ILLC products, allowing them to take part customer-facing and in the processes behind the scenes.

Teacher Rikka Polintan-Mamaril, Program Coordinator, had the opportunity to share about ILLC’s programs during the event, providing a glimpse of the Treasure Shop and the Job Readiness Program to fellow participants and visitors.

We are grateful to be part of an event organized by the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), Project Inclusion Network (PIN), and the Philippine Business and Disability Network (PBDN), as we continue to celebrate inclusion, creativity, and the strengths of persons with disabilities.

Thank you to everyone who supported and visited the Philippine Disability Expo 2025!

As part of an ILLC Christmas tradition, our teachers and students once again brought the spirit of the season to life through the Classroom Door Design Project.

Each classroom door was creatively transformed using festive Christmas and Disney-inspired themes. Some designs featured the students’ artwork, while others proudly displayed photos of the students, making every door a reflection of the class it represented.

This tradition goes beyond decoration. It reflects our teachers’ dedication to creating warm, welcoming, and meaningful learning spaces for our students. Thank you to our teachers for continuing this cherished ILLC tradition and for filling our hallways with holiday cheer and creativity for the entire ILLC family. 🎄
