📢 ADVISORY | ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODE

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, ILLC will implement an alternative learning mode today, September 10, 2026, due to the continued heavy rainfall brought about by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Online synchronous classes will be conducted for all programs and grade levels. Asynchronous learning activities will also be provided for students who are unable to attend the synchronous sessions.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 10

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 135, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 10, 2026, in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the cumulative effects of prolonged rainfall:

📍 Pangasinan
📍 Benguet
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Pampanga
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro
📍 Oriental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

📣 ILLC ADVISORY: PILOT SYNCHRONOUS CLASSES

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you and your families are safe and well.

Following Mandaluyong City’s suspension of classes tomorrow, August 28, 2026, ILLC will use this opportunity to conduct the first dry run and pilot reactivation of synchronous online learning.

ILLC has been using a Google Workspace for Education account. To optimize this resource, tomorrow’s pilot session will be conducted through GOOGLE MEET. The meeting link will be posted in your respective Viber Community tomorrow morning.

Students who are unable to attend will be provided with asynchronous learning activities instead.

Please prepare:

• A quiet and conducive learning space
• A whiteboard and markers, or paper and writing materials
• Parent or guardian assistance, if the student is unfamiliar with Google Meet or requires support during online classes

Kindly note that tomorrow’s time applies only to this pilot session. The final schedules and platform for succeeding synchronous classes will be announced during the PTA Assembly on August 29 at 1:00 p.m. The optional family dry run will also proceed on Saturday as scheduled.

Celebrating the richness of Filipino culture! 🇵🇭

Yesterday, August 24, the Independent Living Learning Centre celebrated Araw ng Wika with the theme, “Larong Pinoy, Wikang Nagkakaisa: Muling Pagyamanin ang Ating Kultura.”

Our students enjoyed a lively celebration filled with Filipino games, food, and cultural activities that brought everyone together in the spirit of pagkakaisa at pagmamahal sa ating kultura. The festive Filipino-inspired decorations also added color and excitement to the celebration, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. 🎉🌺🇵🇭
