LOOK: DepEd NCR, led by Asec/RD Joyce Andaya, conducts the first-ever Unified Science High School Admissions Test (USHAT) 2026 in various science high schools in Metro Manila on Saturday, March 7, 2026.

This was approved and rolled out by Education Secretary Sonny Angara following the findings and suggestions of EDCOM II, which emphasized the gradual shift to computer-based examinations.

“The USHAT 2026 shall serve as the official admissions examination for entry into Grade 7 of the above-mentioned Science High Schools, subject to the provisions of these Guidelines and subsequent implementing instructions issued by DepEd NCR," Asec. Atty. Geomari Du Gonzales is an alumnus of the City of Mandaluyong Science High School, having graduated in Batch 2012. His educational journey began in a learning environment that nurtured critical thinking and scientific inquiry, skills that would serve him well in his future studies. The foundation he laid during these formative years contributed significantly to his academic success in higher education.

After completing high school, he pursued a Bachelor of Science Major in Accountancy at MAPUA University, located in Makati. He graduated with Latin honors, specifically as Cum Laude, reflecting not only his intelligence but also his commitment to excellence.

On June 9, 2017, he successfully passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board examination. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, he enrolled at De La Salle University (DLSU) to study for a Juris Doctor degree in Law.

In a remarkable achievement, he recently took the bar examination and, by the grace of the Lord, became one of the successful new law bar passers.
