Student Council: Formation and Planning | TWO DAYS TAKE SHAPE

Despite last-minute rearrangements, the Executive Officers of the Junior and Senior High School Student Councils maintained their steadfast spirits in the Student Council Formation and Planning activity held last Friday until Saturday at Don Bosco Technical College.

Our Executive Officers took this opportunity to present their proposed activities and initiatives for the school year and listened to formation talks to learn more about student leadership and collaboration. With an unorthodox setting at hand and late night activities, the Officers powered through and maintained their roles as student leaders.

Inspired by the iconic Y2K era, the gathering brought the excitement of the late 1990s and early 2000s to life through creative fashion, lively performances, exciting games, and moments that filled the gymnasium with laughter and youthful energy. From bold looks to unforgettable memories, every moment captured the playful spirit of a new generation ready to make its mark. ✨

More than a celebration of a timeless era, the gathering gave our Bosconians a chance to meet new faces, strengthen friendships, and build connections as they begin a new chapter together. Like the turn of a new millennium, every new beginning promises something exciting ahead. 🌟

𝗛𝗘𝗬, 𝗛𝗘𝗬, 𝗛𝗘𝗬! 💙

Today, we commemorate the birthday of our former Rector/President, 𝗙𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱, 𝗦𝗗𝗕.

Long before he became "Father Rector," some of us came to know him as “Padre Karpintero” through VocTok, a program of the Vocation Ministry of the Salesians of Don Bosco – FIN. The nickname, inspired by his love for woodworking, became a glimpse into the joyful and down-to-earth person he was. His contagious joy, warm presence, and unmistakable “Hey, hey, hey!” made his way of accompanying the young truly memorable.

As our Rector/President, he left us with a message that continues to resonate: “We Hope, We Rise.” More than a theme, it reflects the spirit he shared with the community: to face every challenge with hope, rise together, and keep moving forward.

In the way he lived and served, Fr. Jay reflected the spirit of St. John Bosco, whose life was devoted to guiding the young with love, joy, and genuine care. Through his warmth, joyful spirit, and deep commitment to the youth, Fr. Jay carried this same Salesian spirit, reminding us that to accompany the young is to walk with them, believe in them, and help them grow in faith and in life.

May his life continue to remind us to hope, rise, and bring joy wherever we go.
𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻, 𝗙𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝘆! 💙

Some moments are meant to be remembered, and some memories are meant to be captured in a flash! 🪩📸

Our Grade 7 and Grade 11 Bosconians brought their Y2K spirit to the photobooth, striking poses, sharing smiles, and creating snapshots with friends along the way. From playful poses to candid moments, every photo captured a little piece of the fun, excitement, and connections made during our gathering. 💫

More than just pictures, these snapshots serve as memories of new friendships, shared laughter, and a day filled with moments worth keeping. As we look back through every frame, may these photos remind us of the people we met, the memories we made, and the moments we shared together. 💙✨

So, strike a pose, flash that smile, and take a trip back to our Y2K SLAM! 🎧🪩
