The NHCP invites Filipinos, students, and history enthusiasts, to sign and support the passing of the Lakambini Bill, an act that aims to reinforce and emphasize our ✨𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒆𝒔✨ in the teaching of Philippine History.

Through this bill, our future inheritors, the Filipino youth, will learn from the women who fought for independence, equality and inclusivity towards the building of a Filipino society where women’s voices can be heard, and stand on equal footing. This monumental bill coincides with the NHCP's designation of 2027 as the Year of Women in Philippine History.

What if every development project asked not only, “What do we want to achieve?” but also, “What gender needs and concerns should we consider to make sure no one is left behind?”

The Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG), 3rd Edition, provides a common framework for integrating gender perspectives into the development and implementation of programs and projects. It helps government agencies, donor organizations, and other stakeholders strengthen the gender responsiveness of development initiatives.

The HGDG includes sector-specific GAD checklists for areas such as agriculture, climate change, disaster risk reduction, education, health, ICT, infrastructure, labor and employment, migration, tourism, and women in areas under armed conflict, among others.

For GAD practitioners, the HGDG serves as a practical guide for applying a gender lens throughout the project cycle—from development and planning to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Madalas nating marinig ang “GAD Budget” at isipin na may separate fund para rito. Pero hindi ito dagdag na pondo o hiwalay pa sa budget ng isang ahensya.

Ang GAD budget ay bahagi ng regular budget na iniuugnay sa mga programang tumutugon sa gender issues o nagsusulong ng gender equality at gender responsiveness.

Swipe through the cards para malaman ang dalawang paraan kung paano nagiging bahagi ng GAD budget ang isang programa o proyekto: GAD-focused activities na direktang tumutugon sa gender issues, at GAD attribution kung saan bahagi ng budget ng isang regular government program ay maaaring ma-attribute sa GAD batay sa HGDG score nito.
Kaya kapag nakakita tayo ng malaking GAD budget figure, mahalagang tingnan kung saan ito nagmumula at paano ito binuo.
Dahil hindi dapat hiwalay na usapin ang gender equality. Dapat itong isinasama sa mga polisiya, programa, proseso, at iba pang mekanismo ng pamahalaan.

We are thrilled to officially kick off the FIRST face-to-face sign language training session of ABKD-GAD SIGN (Advancing Basic Knowledge on Deaf Inclusion through Gender and Development), marked by our milestone MOU signing! This first in-person session represents a massive step forward in breaking communication barriers and championing genuine deaf inclusion directly within our community.

This landmark initiative is made possible through the unwavering support of the Office of the President under 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐄𝐮𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐌. 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐜𝐨, and the OVPRIES under 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐨 𝐌. 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧 (represented by Instr. Jay-ar F. Villavicencio). It is proudly brought to life by the collaborative efforts of the Gender Studies & Development Office (GSDO) and the Inclusive Education Office led by 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐘𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐁. We are thrilled to celebrate the official launch and milestone MOU signing of ABKD-GAD SIGN (Advancing Basic Knowledge on Deaf Inclusion through Gender and Development)!
