Dashing princes 🤴 and princesses 👸 of the 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗦𝗦 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 came to participate in the 𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩.

The event's goal was to 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡, and so the challengers spread throughout different parts of HHIS and 𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙞𝙘𝙚. 🧤🪣

𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙙, so the princes and princesses did their very best to complete the tasks given to them. The 𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩 🧹, the 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨 🍀, and the 𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙩 🧽 were cleaned as they frolicked through every corner of HHIS.

They whistled 😙 while they work and sang sweet nightingales 🌌 in every quest requested to them. They showed the 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 how important it is to 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 and provide a 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 for each and every one of us.

The 𝗛𝗨𝗠𝗦𝗦 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 showed that 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨. Instead, one should be 𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙, 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 have the 𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 for a better and safer community. 🛡️

Not everything that is 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆, and not everything that is 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚. 𝑩𝒆𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒔𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝒍𝒆𝒇𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒍𝒅. ✨

There are 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 that do not announce themselves, yet they are 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆. We often meet people at their strongest point, never realizing what it took for them just to get there. This 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 is a reminder that mental health is not something distant or separate from daily life; it lives in the way we 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲, the way we 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲, the way we 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 despite what 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻.

As students, we are taught to 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘇𝗲, and 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 people beyond what is 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘆𝗲. Through this, we are also reminded that 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀. There is only so much we can take in at once, and it is just as important to know 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲.

Let this month serve as a reminder that 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀. It is in the way we 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱, the way we 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻, and the way we 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 for people to simply be without pressure to hide what they feel. Even in the 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, we create space where people feel 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻, 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲, and 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱.

May we continue to choose 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔, not just this month, but every day. 🫂

Today, we honor 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 — the first teachers who showed us 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, the 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 who stood between us and the world, and the 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 behind every success story.

To the women who give without keeping score, who lose sleep so we can dream, and who love without limits or conditions: 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

📰✨ There’s something powerful about 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡, quiet at times, loud when it needs to be, but always meant to be heard! This 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐃𝐚𝐲, we’re reminded that 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧, and that 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥. As HUMSS students, we’re taught to 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐭𝐨 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝. Press freedom isn’t just for journalists, it’s for anyone who believes that 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞.

In a world that moves fast, where words can easily be 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭, choosing honesty becomes an act of courage. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 allows stories to unfold the way they should, raw, unfiltered, and meaningful! It keeps people aware, holds power accountable, and gives light to things that would otherwise stay hidden. And in our own small ways, through what we 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞, we become part of that responsibility too.

So maybe today is a reminder that 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤. 🗣️ That truth, even when it’s uncomfortable, is worth choosing every time!
