Two wins, one proud Ilayan moment

Ilaya Barangka Integrated School (IBIS) celebrates two remarkable achievements in the GANAP-GALING 2026–2027 Division Festival of Talents (DFOT), securing 2nd Place in STEMazing Secondary and 5th Place in HistoPop: Reason and Resolve.

The two victories highlight the diverse strengths of Ilayans. STEMazing Secondary challenges Revo Cloud L. Villanueva and WillJames Mavericks D. Orsolino to apply scientific and mathematical thinking through physical exploration and problem-solving, while HistoPop: Reason and Resolve engages Sherwin E. Racadio in structured, evidence-based discourse on relevant local, national, and global issues.

These accomplishments reflect critical thinking, teamwork, creativity, and commitment to excellence. More than the awards, their achievements demonstrate the opportunities provided by IBIS to develop their talents, strengthen their skills, and confidently take on challenges beyond the classroom.

To strengthen participants' understanding of truth in media, responsible judgment, civic responsibility, and the importance of making informed decisions, student leaders from Ilaya Barangka Integrated School attends “Truth in Media: A Shared Responsibility,” at the Jose Rizal University (JRU) in collaboration with Lingap Angat.

Discussions focus on current political issues, civic education, and the responsibilities of citizens in shaping the country’s future with their respective speakers Atty. Dino De Leon discusses significant issues emphasizing the need for voters to examine candidates’ platforms and qualifications rather than relying on popularity.

Political journalist and educator Christian Esguerra focuses on civic education and the duties of citizens and government in promoting the welfare of Filipinos, while political advocate Gabe Pineda challenges the familiar phrase “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan, ngayon” urging the youth to become the hope of the nation now by taking action in the present.

The seminar concludes by reinforcing the importance of media awareness, informed voting, and using one’s voice and vote responsibly.

Kent Symon C. Orque, newly elected Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President, recites the oath of office during the oath-taking ceremony at Ilaya Barangka Integrated School, August 15, 2026 which marked the official induction of the new student leaders from the different clubs and organization for School Year 2026-2027.

The ceremony aims to remind each student leader of their duty to serve, participate actively, uphold the values of their respective clubs, and contribute to the school community.

As club members, they are expected to actively support club activities, work collaboratively with fellow members, follow established rules, serve as positive role models to their peers, and encouraged to lead not only through their positions but also through their actions.

Miss Romania Reyna Grace Tolentino was crowned as the new Miss IBIS United Nations 2025 at the Grand Coronation Night in Ilaya Barangka Integrated School Elevated Gymnasium, November 28, 2025.

After advancing in the top 5, Miss Romania gathered the highest point in the question and answer portion and final look.

Top 5 finalists—Miss Honduras, Miss Mexico, Miss Guatemala, and Miss South Africa, also left a remarkable performance during the coronation night.
