The Investiture and Rededication Ceremony of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) at SPNAGIS was a momentous event that marked a new chapter for young scouts as they pledged to uphold the values of the organization. The ceremony, held on February 17, 2024, welcomed new members into the scouting family and reaffirmed the commitment of existing Girl Scouts to their duties and responsibilities.

During the investiture, new scouts proudly wore their uniforms and recited the Girl Scout Promise and Law, symbolizing their dedication to serving others and striving for excellence. The rededication ceremony was equally significant, as senior scouts renewed their vows to continue living by the principles of leadership, service, and community involvement.

School officials, teachers, and guests attended the event, offering words of encouragement and inspiration. They emphasized the importance of scouting in shaping young girls into responsible, confident, and service-oriented individuals. Special activities, such as candle-lighting and the pinning of badges, added to the excitement of the occasion.

The event concluded with a sense of unity and enthusiasm among the Girl Scouts, ready to embark on new adventures, projects, and initiatives that will positively impact their school and community. Mandaluyong's Historical Lecture Forum: A Program for Learning and Reflection

A historical lecture forum in SPNAGIS took place on February 4, 2025,highlighting Mandaluyong's rich history and leaving awareness among the Grade 7 learners. The activity was organized by Araling Panlipunan Department.

The event started with an opening prayer and a nationalistic song, setting a solemn and respectful tone. The welcome remarks was delivered by Mr. Ramilo P. Pascual, the school principal. He emphasized the importance of learning about local history to appreciate the city's progress and resilience.

Mrs. Maureen F. Cavitana, the AP Coordinator, provided the rationale for the event, underscoring its relevance in promoting civic engagement and historical awareness.

Mr. Noli P. Ramos Jr., a junior high school AP teacher, introduced the guest speaker, setting the stage for an insightful discussion.

Mr. Leo Paredes Urmeneta, Supervising Administrative Officer from the Office of the Mayor and Executive Director of the Local Council for the Protection of Children, provided an in-depth lecture on the history of Mandaluyong.

Throughout the lecture, there are also questions given to the students for them to be able to interact and think. His talk gave the audience a glimpse into the city's transformation and its significant milestones. The forum also included a video presentation, offering a visual and engaging portrayal of Mandaluyong's journey through the years.

The program concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Maria Linda C. Pereyra, Head Teacher III in Mathematics, who emphasized the importance of integrating historical knowledge into daily life and education.

The event, emceed by Ms. Arriane Joy A. Del Monte, left a mark on the attendees. Through this initiative, the learners were reminded of the importance of knowing their roots and contributing to the city's future.

This lecture forum serves as a testament to the commitment of Mandaluyong's educators and leaders to nurture informed and active citizens.

On Monday, February 3 2025, Senate President Neptali A Gonzales Integrated School (SPNAGIS) held an inauguration ceremony to commemorate the fully completed school.

Several high ranking officials from the local government of Mandaluyong City joined the said program. Mayor Ben Abalos, Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos, Congressman Neptali 'Boyet' Gonzales and his wife Congresswoman Queenie Gonzales were the key visitors in the said inauguration.

Former Congresswoman Alexandria “Queenie” Gonzales was the congresswoman who pushed to build the said school in the 19th congress for the children of Mandaluyong City . She said in an interview that, “She is relieved and happy to see the school that she proposed is now complete.”

The said event was also attended by several barangay and city officials.

The Department of Education (DepEd) secretary Juan Edgardo “ Sonny” Angara also attended the said program. He is also proud to see that a new school is standing in Mandaluyong City. He also said that he is hoping and expecting the school to grow more.

Dr Romela M. Cruz, the schools division superintendent of Mandaluyong City also joined the said inauguration. She said in her speech that she is hoping that the school will inspire more students to fulfill their future through the help of education just as the late Senate President Neptali A. Gonzales envisioned it.

On January 25 2025, The Senate President Naptali A. Gonzales Integrated School(SPNAGIS) launched its Early Registration campaign for the School Year 2025-2026.

The said program kicked off with a parade which aims to promote the school to the residents of Mandaluyong City.

The said program also aims to persuade more students to enroll and have their rights to learn for their future.

The Early Registration will start today, January 25 2025 and will last until February 28 2025.

The teachers also provided information materials such as posters and fliers for the residents of Mandaluyong city who don't have access to the school.

There are also dropboxes in several of the barangays in Mandaluyong for those residents who want to enroll their child in SPNAGIS.

On December 18, 2024, the SSLG organized a Christmas program titled "GIFT" Empowering Faith Through Giving.The program was held at Senate President Neptali A Gonzales Integrated School's (SPNAGIS) gymnasium.

Students in all levels gathered in the gymnasium to participate in the said program.

The program had various activities like a stage play about the birth of Jesus which was performed by students from elementary and junior high school, a dance performed by junior high school, and games organized by the SSLG.

Councilor Elton Yap and Councilor Charisse Abalos-Vargas visited SPNAGIS to share their Christmas message.

On December 13, 2024 Senate President Neptali A. Gonzales organized a mass school learners and teachers in SPNAGIS gymnasium.

The mass served as part of the celebration of the Advent season.

The mass was led by the Our Lady of Fatima Parish Church and Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy and by Rev. Father Jo Panelo.

SPNAGIS Students Visit Dominican College for an Educational Tour

Students from Senate President Neptali A. Gonzales Integrated School (SPNAGIS) recently had the chance to explore Dominican College during an exciting educational tour on December 11,2024. The visit, organized to help students learn about senior high school life and future opportunities, allowed them to experience what it is like to be part of a higher learning institution.

Teachers and school leaders accompanied the students, making sure the trip was not only informative but also enjoyable.

During the tour, the students visited key areas of the campus, including classrooms, the library, and Dominican’s beautiful chapel. Although there wasn’t a mass, the serene atmosphere gave the students a chance to reflect and appreciate the college’s values and culture.

The students also enjoyed learning about Dominican’s various programs and the vibrant campus life that awaits future college students.

The trip left a positive impression on everyone who attended. Many SPNAGIS students shared how inspired they felt after seeing the college’s facilities and learning more about the possibilities ahead.

Students expressed their gratitude to Dominican for hosting the visit and providing an unforgettable experience.

This tour was a meaningful step in encouraging SPNAGIS students to dream big and start thinking about their own paths to success.

On November 6, 2024, the AP department celebrated the Araling Panlipunan Month Culminating Program in the SPNAGIS gym.

Several learners showed their talent of singing and playing instruments. Selected Grade 10 students played the song Narda and Hanggang Kailan to start the event.

The theme for the AP Month is Cultivating a Culture of Peace.

Representatives of grade 8 who took part in a quiz bee about Jose Rizal’s Work and Talents were also awarded. The grade 8 Avogadro students won first place.

Meanwhile in the contest participated by grade 9, students from section Marx won as first place with section Ricardo as second and Malthus at third place.

For the grade 10 students, they took part in making documentary videos. Bencab won first place for the best documentary. Second place is Amorsolo and third place is Abueva.

Before the program ended, Mr. Pascual made a speech for the AP month celebration and reminded the learners of the importance of the said celebration.
