🤝 Learning beyond the classroom!

We're delighted to see our partners at Aboitiz Foods welcome graduate students from the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania, as part of their CSAP-supported immersion in the Philippines.

In partnership with Aboitiz Foundation, Inc., the students spent the afternoon exploring the Philippine agribusiness landscape, supply chain, and food production ecosystem, gaining firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges shaping the local market. 🌾🇵🇭

Meet William from UPenn, who spent his time in Manila researching U.S.–Philippine relations! 📚

He sat down with policymakers, researchers, and AFP personnel, gaining insight into Philippine foreign policy no textbook could teach. 🤝

His favorite memory? Tasting golden mango at a family friend's home in Cagayan de Oro. 🥭😋

🍎🇵🇭 Classrooms Across Cultures: TGC Teacher Reflections

🌏 On the Frontlines of Indo-Pacific Strategy! We're proud to have supported Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies on their March 2026 capstone study trip to the Philippines through CSAP.

Led by Professor Henrietta Levin, 16 SAIS students engaged with government officials, diplomats, scholars, and business leaders across the country, including briefings at the Department of Trade and Industry and the Senate of the Philippines, a policy panel at the Fulbright Philippines office, a Department of National Defense briefing, and immersive visits to Intramuros and the American Cemetery, all arranged through CSAP.

Their conversations explored the Philippines' foreign policy, economic security, maritime challenges, and its role as a critical U.S. treaty ally and 2026 ASEAN chair, giving students a firsthand look at how policy is shaped in the region. 🇵🇭🤝
