Concepcion Integrated School proudly celebrated the success of its young mathematicians during the District Math Fair held today at Gregorio Moralizon Elementary School I. The event gathered participants from various schools across Manay North District, and the CIS learners showcased impressive analytical and problem-solving skills, further proving their growing excellence in the field of mathematics.

This achievement was made possible through the solid support of the parents, the CIS teaching force, and the school head, Sir Jovil B. Lagnayo. Most especially, the triumph was strengthened by the tireless efforts of the hardworking Math coaches, Ms. Jessi𝐞vel B. Mamontayao (Elementary) and Ms. Wendy S. Despite the recent doublet earthquake that shook Manay, Davao Oriental, Concepcion Integrated School pushed through with the conduct of its Second Quarter Examination with courage, faith, and unity. The tremors may have caused fear and worry, but the determination of the whole school community proved stronger than any disaster.

Students showed bravery and perseverance as they continued their exams calmly, even after experiencing aftershocks. Parents stood by their children, showing support and trust in the school’s safety measures. Teachers, on the other hand, displayed commitment and compassion, ensuring that learning and safety both remained top priorities.

The school’s leadership demonstrated preparedness and teamwork, guiding everyone with care and assurance. The event reminded everyone that education does not stop, even in the face of challenges. Truly, the spirit of bayanihan and resilience continues to shine brightly at Concepcion Integrated School—proof that when a community stands together, no earthquake can shake their will to rise. 🌍💪📚

𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒆-𝒕𝒐-𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓!

The DPWH Central, Regional, and District Office personnel conducted a thorough structural assessment last Wednesday, October 15, 2025, on all school buildings. Based on the assessment report, three classrooms (Grades 3–5) and the stage were found unsafe for occupancy as a result of the recent doublet earthquake and its aftershocks. Advisers and learners affected will temporarily hold classes in the activity center, which has been declared safe for use. All other classrooms and structures were found safe and suitable for the resumption of classes.

Furthermore, the school will conduct Psychological First Aid (PFA) throughout the day on Monday to ensure that all learners are mentally prepared. The SDRRM Coordinator will also provide a reorientation session on disaster preparedness and the intensification of disaster drills.

Concepcion Integrated School successfully completed its 2-Day School-Based Seminar Workshop on Bridging Literacy Gaps on September 5–6, 2025 at the Concepcion IS Activity Center. The goal of this activity was to equip parents with strategies and insights from the 2-day training so they can bring home the learning of their children and strengthen literacy support at home. The activity gathered teachers, parents, learners, barangay officials, and partners in a united effort to strengthen literacy, with active participation from both Mabini Elementary School and Concepcion Integrated School.

The workshop sessions, led by Mrs. Alda Pawin (Education Program Supervisor), Mr. Ervin E. Casagda (Principal I of Mandabon Elementary School), and Mrs. Roslyn B. Madalo (Master Teacher I of GMES II) and Mr. Jon Lito Andoyo (Principal I of Mabini Elementary School), were inspiring, enjoyable, and full of learning. Their effort and guidance made each session meaningful, covering topics such as phonics and word recognition, guided reading, making learning materials, home-based reading plans, and simulation activities.

A highlight of Day 2 was the Recognition of First Quarter Academic Excellence Awardees in both Elementary and High School, proudly celebrating the learners’ hard work and success.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Barangay Officials, PTA Officials, teachers, parents, stakeholders, and especially to the resource speakers for their valuable contributions. Special recognition is also extended to the host school head, Mr. Jovil B. Lagnayo, and Sir Jon Lito Andoyo, whose leadership and support greatly helped in making this activity a true success.

Truly, this success will stand as a testament that the unity of the school and community can bring a positive impact on the learners’ advancement and the community’s future.

Makulay, makabuluhan at natatangi. Ganito kung maituturing ang isinagawang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika sa inilunsad na Panapos na Palatuntunan ng Pinagsamang Paaralan ng Concepcion sa ika-27 ng Agosto sa taong 2025.

Ang pagkakaroon ng ganitong pagdiriwang ay isa lamang sa makabuluhang pagkakataong maipakita ng mga Pilipinong mag-aaral ang pagpapahalaga sa wikang pambansa at maging sa katutubong wika.

Mula sa mga patimpalak na Kartong Editoryal at Madamdaming Pagbasa ay naipamalas ang mga talento at dunong ng mga mag-aaral sa iba't ibang larangan ng pagpapahayag ng damdaming makabansa.

Nariyan din ang Pista sa Nayon na naipakita ang makulay na tradisyon ng mga "Pinoy" sa pagpapakita ng bayanihan at pagkakaisa. Tampok ang mga iba't ibang kakaning Pilipino at mga ulam na ipinamana pa ng ating mga katutubo na siyang pinagsalusaluhan ng lahat.

Kaya't ang buong puwersa ng Pinagsamang Paaralan ng Concepcion na pinangunahan ni Ginoong Jovil B. Lagnayo, pinuno ng paaralan, ay lubos na nagagalak sa biyayang ipinagkaloob dahil sa naging matagumpay ang naturang pagtatapos ng selebrasyon.

Bilang wakas, nawa'y ang selebrasyon ng Buwan ng Wika ay magkintal ng pagganyak sa bawat isa sa paglinang at paghubog ng wikang pambansa at katutubong wika.

Concepcion Integrated School (CIS) held its first School Parent-Teacher Association (SPTA) Assembly and the Mass Induction of Homeroom Parent-Teacher Association (HPTA) and SPTA officers for the school year 2025-2026 on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the school's Activity Center. Scheduling the event on the weekend allowed the maximum participation while avoiding disruption of classes. Mr. Jovil B. Lagnayo, Head Teacher II, led the formal induction ceremony, which marked the beginning of a new leadership team dedicated to improving the home-school partnership. The event highlighted the collaborative spirit of the CIS community, uniting parents, teachers, and other stakeholders in a shared celebration. Also, he informed the participants of the School Report Card (SRC) which provided them clear picture of the school's current situation and laid out plans in addressing pressing issues that encouraged everyone to take part in providing solutions for continued success.

The school community expresses deep gratitude to the outgoing SPTA officers, led by the former SPTA President and Barangay Committee on Education, Hon. Leones B. Pugo, for their steady commitment and important contributions to the school's success. Their legacy of service will inspire future leaders. At the same time, the school warmly congratulates the newly elected SPTA and HPTA officers, looking forward to a productive year of working together to create a child-friendly, safe, and high-quality learning environment.
