Cabanbanan NHS Holds Planning Conference with Parents and Guardians for Major Upcoming Activities

On January 22, 2026, the school successfully conducted a Planning Conference with parents and guardians to discuss important activities lined up for the completers and senior high school learners. The conference aimed to strengthen school–home partnership and ensure a clear understanding of the preparations, expectations, and responsibilities related to the upcoming Work Immersion, JS Promenade, and Graduation.
The conference formally opened with a heartfelt welcome from Madam Meredith Ann C. Cerezo, Head Teacher III/OIC-Assistant Principal II who expressed her gratitude to the parents and guardians for their time, presence, and continued support.
In the meeting, Sir Arnulfo M. Dela Cruz, Principal III, emphasized the vital role of parents and guardians in supporting learners during these milestone events. The school underscored that open communication and collaboration are essential in ensuring the success and safety of students.
A significant portion of the conference focused on the Work Immersion Program, where school officials explained its objectives, duration, partner institutions, and expected learner outputs. Parents and guardians were oriented on the guidelines, schedules, safety protocols, and the importance of monitoring their children’s performance and well-being throughout the immersion period.
The discussion then proceeded to the Junior-Senior (JS) Promenade, highlighting its purpose as a meaningful and memorable experience for students. Details regarding the program flow, attire, venue, and parental support were thoroughly discussed to ensure proper coordination and shared responsibility.
Lastly, the school presented important information regarding the Graduation Ceremony, including tentative dates, rehearsal schedules, graduation requirements, and reminders on decorum and attendance. Parents and guardians were encouraged to assist their children in completing academic and clearance requirements on time.
The conference concluded with an open forum, allowing parents and guardians to raise questions, clarify concerns, and share suggestions. The active participation demonstrated strong support and cooperation from the school community.
Overall, the Planning Conference served as a vital platform for collaboration, reinforcing the shared commitment of the school and families to guide learners toward a successful and meaningful completion of the school year.

Newly Installed Assistant School Head of Cabanbanan National High School

The school community formally welcomed its new Principal I / Assistant School Head during the Installation Ceremony held on January 26, 2026. The event marked an important milestone in the school’s leadership and reaffirmed its commitment to quality education and effective school governance.
The installation was formally administered by Dr. Leody S. Tagulao, Public Schools District Supervisor of Manaoag II, whose presence highlighted the significance of the occasion and the trust bestowed upon the newly appointed school leader. Teachers of Laoac NHS were present to witness the official assumption of her duty.
One of the highlights of the program was the Words of Challenge delivered by Sir Arnulfo M. Dela Cruz, Principal III, who emphasized the responsibilities that come with school leadership. Sir Arnulfo M. Dela Cruz challenged the newly installed Principal I / Assistant School Head to lead with integrity, compassion, and resilience, and to always place learners at the heart of every decision. The message also encouraged openness to innovation, collaboration with teachers and stakeholders, and unwavering dedication to the school’s vision and mission.
In the program, messages of encouragement and support emphasized the crucial role of the Principal I / Assistant School Head in strengthening instructional leadership, fostering teamwork among school personnel, and creating a nurturing and learner-centered environment. The ceremony symbolized both a transition and a renewed dedication to upholding the school’s vision, mission, and core values.
In the acceptance message, the newly installed Principal I / Assistant School Head, Ma’am Amelia N. Tibule, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the confidence given by the Schools Division Office and the school community. The assistant school head committed to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and stakeholders to enhance teaching and learning, promote inclusive education, and support the holistic development of learners.
The installation ceremony concluded with a spirit of unity and optimism. With the guidance of its new Principal I / Assistant School Head, the school looks forward to continued progress, strengthened partnerships, and sustained excellence in delivering quality education.

Prioritizes Safety and Learning Resources

Cabanbanan National High School (CNHS) in Manaoag District II, Manaoag, Pangasinan has received a total of ₱202,000 from the Special Education Fund (SEF) of the Municipality of Manaoag, equally allocated at ₱101,000 for Junior High School and ₱101,000 for Senior High School. The financial assistance was granted under the steadfast leadership of Hon. Mayor Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario, reaffirming the local government’s commitment to strengthening public education.
Following a consultative process with the School Governance Council (SGC), the school leadership ensured that the utilization of the SEF is fully aligned with the Enhanced School Improvement Plan (E-SIP) and the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP). This collaborative and evidence-based approach reflects CNHS’s adherence to transparent, needs-driven governance.
Under the administration and guidance of Principal III Mr. Arnulfo M. Dela Cruz, with the strong support of Head Teacher III and OIC Assistant Principal II Ms. Meredith Ann C. Cerezo, Head Teacher III Dr. Zarex Andree E. Cabatbat, School Parents teachers Association (SPTA) President Mrs. Cecille C. Abelliado, Faculty Club President Ms. Josephine G. Evangelista, the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) President Ms. Hazel Rose S. Calimlim and the entire CNHS community, the school identified two urgent priorities for immediate action: the construction and improvement of the front school fence, and the enhancement of the school library.
The school fence was prioritized to ensure the safety and security of learners, teachers, and school property. As CNHS continues to grow, a secure perimeter is vital in maintaining a safe learning environment, managing access, and protecting students during school hours—an essential foundation for effective teaching and learning.
Meanwhile, the improvement of the school library underscores CNHS’s commitment to academic excellence and literacy development. By upgrading learning resources and facilities, the school aims to provide students with a more conducive space for reading especially for the ARAL Program and numeracy activities, research, and independent learning—key to improving academic performance and nurturing lifelong learners.
“This investment is more than infrastructure—it is an investment in our learners’ safety and future,” Principal III Mr. Dela Cruz emphasized. “By addressing immediate needs that directly impact learning conditions, we ensure that every peso translates into meaningful, lasting benefits for our students.”
The SEF support from the Municipality of Manaoag stands as a testament to strong local-school partnership, proving that when leadership, planning, and community collaboration converge, tangible progress in education follows.

3rd Day DONE. In-SeT 2025: Accomplished

Despite the overwhelming load of school tasks and year-end responsibilities, Cabanbanan NHS successfully unlocked another milestone as we completed the 3rd and final day of the School-Based In-Service Training (In-SeT) 2025 today, December 6, 2025.

This capacity-building initiative was steered by its proponent, Dr. Zarex Andree E. Cabatbat, Head Teacher III, with the full support of School Principal III Mr. Arnulfo M. Dela Cruz and Head Teacher III / OIC Assistant Principal II Ms. Meredith Ann C. Cerezo with Ms. Cecilia M. Bautista - Master Teacher 1 as one of the speakers. Their leadership ensured that every session was grounded in purpose, relevance, and innovation.

Throughout the three-day training, our teaching and non-teaching personnel gained meaningful insights and practical strategies anchored on PMES, innovative teaching methodologies, and the whole-school approach. These learning experiences were not merely for professional compliance—they were investments in the future of our learners.

Because at the heart of In-SeT 2025 lies one clear truth:

Every skill refined, every strategy enhanced, and every mindset strengthened ultimately serves one purpose—uplifting the learning experiences, opportunities, and dreams of every CNHSian.

The commitment of our educators to learn, grow, and rise above challenges is the foundation upon which quality education is built. And today, we celebrate not just the end of a training, but the beginning of stronger, more empowered service to our students.
